I love that you used an oversized button down shirt for the pattern. Congratulations! Great job both in the finished product and the tutorial!

Thank you! Such a great scrap busting project! They also don't have to be squares either, which could be fun too 🌸
Great job! You’ve inspired me to give it a try myself, once I’ve finished a few of my UFO’s :) Perhaps in some autumn tones as that will be when I’m ready! Thank you!

I cant help but to think of the Dolly Parton song Coat of Many Colors. It's a beautiful song about when she was young and poor. Her mom made her a coat of scraps and called it a "Coat of Many Colors." If youve never heard it, then it is worth listening to at least once. You might get a new appreciation for your patchwork coat. It came out beautifully. I made the song reference because i like it and the song is a good classic country song.

Fantastic job. Thank you for sharing
Beautiful you did a great job
This is incredibly beautiful! I'm planning to make one soon and can't decide if I'll make a patchwork piece of fabric as you did or upcycle a quilt.. the idea somewhat pains me (as does making a quilt to cut up into pattern pieces!)! I love that you added a zipper, it adds such a cute touch. Your combinations of patterns are my absolute favorite!

Genious! It all also make you understand all the work put behind clothes like this. (Not that it has to cost $700 although..!) You did a fantastic job!

So cute , idea i love it
wow!!!...well done
Beautiful jacket- great tutorial- but there’s a quicker way to quilt rows-by joining long strips then cutting them which makes patchwork. Also remember it’ll shrink so cut bigger.

Thank you for the tip! Most of my off cuts were squares, but I’ll definitely keep this in mind for future quilting projects 😊
Edyta Sitar has a new video on this and she shows 2 quilt patterns one at beginning and 1 at end
RL is my favorite. I want to do this w a⁵ RL jacket pattern. I have a sizzix cutting machine and a 4.5" square die so I could cut my squares a bit faster. This would be nice In a red white and blue for the summer holidays. (I'm in PA, it's always cold here.)😂
Você me inspirou a criar meu casaco ,já estou com os retalhinhos em mãos rsrs , o seu está incrível, meus parabéns!!! Ei!! eu terminei o meu ,e é a minha obra prima rsrsr pelo menos pra mim ❤️
Thank you

so it is quilted? sewing o the bias is odd .is it nappy
Very creative
Congratulations, you did a woderful job! You have more than proven how a look can be achieved with careful thought and planning. Those that can afford $700 for a jacket, well more power to them! There is no way I would pay that just for a designer name, and if you were to put your jacket side by side with Ralph' you couldn't tell the difference! I'm certain that you have inspired many sewists with your efforts!
