Shameful and disgraceful move by the WBC. Mauricio doesn't even bother showin himself with a Canelo hat and going to his gold tournament. And this comes from someone who supported and appreciates Canelo's boxing

It's ridiculous that people are trying to twist it about Canelo when Canelo's the one offering the rematch despite people saying it's a terrible move, but Bivol is a light heavyweight who's now somehow refusing to fight at light heavyweight even though he's only ever fought at light heavyweight and that was the weight in the first fight. You can't make this stuff up lol. And besides rejecting the Canelo offer, he also pulled out of talks with Beterbiev saying there wasn't enough money to go around. He dismissed those two big fights just to be inactive conducting interviews on the couch instead of training in the gym preparing for a fight.

@@jag5014 I don't think Canelo is necessarily refusing categorically the fight. From what we knoe, Eddie Hearn is quite disliked by some American promoters for reasons I don't know. DAZN most likely has been losing money and Benavidez is now a Showtime fighter. The network wars, the extremely suspicious scorecards and other dishonest practices might kill the sport. That said, if is true as Bivol's camp said that Canelo camp offered the same financiary conditions as in the first fight this would ne ridiculous and might show that Canelo isn't that interested in the fight. The problem is that if he keeps on without fighting Benavidez or Bivol he might get thrown out of the top 5 p4p list.

We all knew the fight with Beterviev would take longer do to schedule and his religion, and such. Bivol has every right to want respect. He’s earned it the hard way.

The reason the WBC is blocking both undisputed fights is to force Bivol into a corner and take the Canelo rematch on Canelo’s terms. not really, Canelo wants to be 175lb Champ, although he achieved that against Kovalev, he knows many have downplayed it by saying that was a "Krushed" Kovalev and not the Krusher .. also, Canelo vs Bivol at 168 favors Canelo which means, a rematch victory would mean nothing especially that many would say why Bivol at 168 when Benavidez is the Boogeyman at 168 .. many reasons as to why 168 rematch makes little sense. On the flip side, if Bivol were to beat Canelo at 168, that's really bad for Canelo but also for the division.. you think Bivol would stay at 168 and defend the titles against guys like Benavidez, Berlanga, Charlo, Andrade or Morrell?? When Bivol talks about wanting to change terms, he's talking about refusing to fight at 175 even though he's only ever fought there and trying to change weight undermines the point of a rematch. Bivol's manager Kornilov admitted in the Russian press that his reason for rejecting the rematch was because Bivol would rather walk away with a win than risk losing. It beggars belief that anyone would think that Bivol should just meekly accept whatever scraps are thrown his way. Next point, fighting at 168 does not in any way undermine the point of the rematch. The fight wasn't even competitive at 175. Not to mention that it would only look bad if Canelo pushed for a fight at 168. But in this case its the winner of the previous match that is throwing Canelo a bone and looking to fight at 168, for Canelos belts. After all, he already exposed his belt the first time, it is not unfair that this time Canelo should risk his. So what if Bivol has only fought at 175? It's up to him what weight he wants to campaign at. And if he can make 168, even better. Although I am sure he wants fair compensation for the extra effort that would entail. Lastly, Canelos record is padded with rehydration and weight clauses, old has beens and never beens. That's his record. Who has he fought in their prime that he didn't impose some sort of restriction on? No one. I am not sure why you are even bringing up Munguia, he hasn't fought anyone until last weekend, adhe barely survived an old, faded, over his natural weight Devy. He has no business in the ring with Bivol, nor was there any effort to make that fight happen. To be clear, Canelo has ducked Bivol, has ducked Benavidez and is looking to fight another dehydrated to death older guy, or some inactive, mentally ill guy with a name. Those are not the actions of the supposed "face of boxing". The guy is a sham.

Bivol's manager has said from his own mouth that the reason they rejected a 175 fight was because they'd rather walk away with a win than risk losing the title. There's no other reason for Bivol to possibly refuse to fight at 175 when it's his only division and where the first fight was at. Then you have Bivol who's never attempted to unify his one division and recently dismissed fights with Beterbiev and Canelo just to be inactive. And yes, Bivol and his team not only tried to make the Munguia fight, his manager said it's the only fight "that makes sense" but it ultimately fell through. But that's your hero lol? And since you mentioned Benavidez, he's another guy who publicly rejected unifying his one division with his manager Sampson rejecting fighting Plant when they were both champs despite Canelo lining up the titles. Then David gave up his belt blowing weight and rejected another 175 title fight. Benavidez recently clout chased Canelo as he was in talks with Bivol then quickly shut the door to announce Morrell who he was already signed to fight.

The WBC already said they are not going to sanction him fighting for any of their belts be it 175 or 168 against Canelo, so he can kiss both undisputed fights good bye and just fight Canelo at 175 since he is not getting the belt at 168 even if he beats him.. Yes i also watched his manager was shivering and was scared for life and bivol even agreed that he might get ko by canelo if he steps into ring with him in any weight class , After the beating that canelo put for 12 rounds on bivol in the first fight ,dude’s scared for life and just making excuses to not be in the ring with canelo coz he knows he gonna get knocked out this time as canelo wont spar him this time.
