I like that idea. First unit costing three resources but it would better reflect how it can fulfill two roles. Maybe even 30 food 30 wood 60 gold since both knights and cav archers cost gold.

No. Every single other units of Bengalis costs food. 40 food is more expensive than 20 wood + 20 gold in Castle Age where Bengalis is already the weakest.

I don’t like having three resource types as a cost for the unit. It makes balancing the eco for it exponentially hard. Better suggestion is to make it a food and gold unit since it’s also a melee unit. Also it’s not as easy to do cheesy strats with food and gold if that’s the intent behind the change

My Bengalis went from -> an ahh shit bad no FU lategame unit on release civ, to ->a clown arena monks siege elephant civ, to ->a big unstoppable lategame mass eco unkillable mass elephant archer ggez gameplay, to ->an arabia naked UU no eco clown play civ. Even anime characters dont have so many character development arcs.......What are you even doing devs, as a Bengali I feel like a clown.

@@deek0146 I used to be both, back to default setting because I dont see anything good offered in my games apart from the mass eco elephants....and now they took it away too, there is no identity left anymore....unless they give ratha cavalry class, or make it resist skirm fire fully.

Devs do nothing, it's the players that make up the strategies.

I don't understand why Rathas work the way they do. When they announced a ranged unit with a melee attack, I thought it would work like Stronghold.
