He already said he won't make a colab bc he thinks if viper reviews his vids nobody will watch it in his channel. Which is bs imo bc 1st SOTL has more subscribers than the viper, 2nd, the viper is a much better player than a streamer or youtuber, much like tristan is much better streamer than actually a gamer, so I don't think the viper can steal spirit's views simply bc his videos are awsome.

We don't use air conditioning because we are good with ressource management. Insolation is key and a well insolated house cools down from the basement alone.

I like the reaction to spirit of the law's videos idea is good. I think he wouldn't mind as you don't seem like the kind of person who would be disrespectful. If anything, I bet he would appreciate the insight into how his analysis works in practice. Granted, I know neither of you personally, but it just seems like that's the way it would go. Strictly your professional opinion.

Yees to “viper reacts” videos. At least try, if it doesnt catch, let it go. I also recommend you to do all videos with stream. It feels much more natural when you have the chat to interact

I look forward to seeing you play with Elephant Archers more in Random Map mode. Seeing the Elephant Archer mass taking on two armies at the same time and winning was something else. Elephant Archers might have a place in team games now at least, which is a big improvement over their previous big nothing up until the May patch.

You must definately do those reaction videos. Would be soo educational for us

On the airconditioning discussion: consider investing in blinds on the outside of your window rather than airconditioning. Keeps the sun AND warmth outside instead of cooling the warm air that already got in. More prevention and better on energy consumption.

Already have blinds outside the window, doens't really do the trick.

You will need an airtight seal where you discharge your hot air to the outside. I would look for foam board and metallic AC duct tape to seal everything, then drill a hole the size of the hot air exhaust tube through the board, put in your tube, silicon the outside of the tube. Done. If that doesn't work, you need a bigger AC.

Would be good if paired with champion to counter halbs, rams & skirms

Reacting to the unique unit counters would be awesome because on paper some units look like heavy counters but in reality aren't. Would be cool!

Viper I think doing SOTL & vipey collab would be sick! I think it'd be really fun if there was a way he could discuss update patches and different civ unit effectiveness + your input on some of the potential meta shifts and as you said, how the changes may effect the competitive scene! Don't know the best way to produce content like that but you should definitely look into it!

I think for Elephant Archers they are designed so you can slowly move like Teutons and keep monks around to heal them up, keeping your army constantly high numbers.

Actually Teuton ally can heal you from behind with 2x range and tank with their new Tanky Paladins

I guess they are like towers so if you get to wall them close to your enemies or in battle they could be good

Lately, I've been having more fun running Elephants Archers into the mix. They're still expensive and have a lot of weaknesses, but the faster fire rate and 10 less gold cost helps them be more usable in the late game! ^^

Sometimes I am not really sure if the units are strong or if it's just Viper who is that strong to micro them/ give them enough upgrades/ recruit big numbers etc

Halberdiers vs elephants are a super hard counter. Any other units deal so little damage in comparison.

this summers are so hot :( my window is so shit the sun tries to kill me the whole day through it in summer so in summer its dark and still too hot if i am in my room with the fan combined only in the night in can be cool but there are some nights where the temperature says „screw you i will be high now too“

Say what you want, i love elephant archers. I just wish they could fire while walking, that'd be sick! But even as it is now, if you gather like 20 Elite EA there's not much your adversary can do to counter.

I would like to see you mix HCs and EAs. The HCs counter the halbs and the EAs tank the archers and siege. Because EAs have 1 less range, they automatically take the front position and tank for you.

If you want to do even better, try mixing the EAs with normal archers. They have less range but about the same movement speed, so they automatically take the front line to protect the weaker, longer-ranged foot archers.

I think what he means is they rely too much on numbers and facts instead of just focusing on getting better at the actual game. As you play you get to know all the little game mechanics that Spirit focuses on as well as developing your own appreciation for how they all come together and how you want to take advantage of them. Maybe that is what he is getting at.

Yes. I downloaded VC-redist.x64 and .x86. That helped most of my problems. Now it at least don't crash vs. the AI, and most ranked games flow well. But still having freezes and crashes when i'm not playing on EU servers.

A mod for improving a resource's visibility? I hear there's an even better mod for that called Age of Cubes 11.

In his recent video on farm upgrades sotl pointed out how long it takes for crop rotation to kick in. I see you doing the upgrade very often when arriving in imp. So is it not that useless? Is there anything that sotl got wrong?

It takes a while to kick in, but if you have the resources to spare you might as well get it. Sooner you get it, sooner you get the payoff.

#1, there is value in delaying reseeding, so you don't really need to wait for one complete cycle to see an economic benefit, especially with dozens of farms. #2, it's cheap and the resources are worth far less than the saved attention in most imp games until autoreseeding is used. Time spent retasking villagers is time not monitoring military.

Now they just need to be cheaper...or something
