In today's video, EPF stumbles upon THE TROUT HONEY HOLE while fishing the D&R Canal during the Trout Opening Day in New Jersey! Even better?! There was NOBODY around me for the entire afternoon 🤣, AND I landed my biggest stocked Rainbow Trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) of 2021 thus far.

Bruh I literally always thought the knot Leo tied was called a "rainforest clinch knot". I learned today it is actually a "reinforced clinch knot". Tight lines leo.

Rainforest clinch knot 😆 Love it man !!
I wish it was like that on opening day over here haha. Everywhere was packed. I just drove around and eventually went to a spot after a bunch of people left, but it was really windy and everything was spooked. It was still nice to get out though. At least you managed to land a bunch. It would be nice to see more than just rainbows being stocked, but it's better than nothing and they sure looked fun to catch.

I think I said this before, but in case I didnt.....the new EPF Swim is a great idea. It's like a trout magnet...but with that paddletail action. Bet it's killer on the 1/64 oz TM dart. That combo should slay crappie, bluegill, and others. Good thinking, Leo!

The original idea was for the EPF Swim to replace my arsenal of Berkley 1" Gulp! Alive Minnows, David. Hehe. And I am happy to say that I never ever need to buy another jar of those. Lol.

My local pond is stocked with trout in NJ. It’s pretty great and because little people know, it’s always a good spot (as long as the fish don’t die) usually till summer
As soon as I could I got the EPF 1" in all colors. Just got them in today and went out with them. Man the panfish loved them. I loved them.

@@rumdab the trout are farm raised and stocked in the canal so they're ok to eat even if you're worried about pollution
