Hey Kenny one thing you can do on excel is do =AVG, =MAX, or =Min then put the range of the numbers so you would put this equation in J2: =AVG(B2:I2) and it will tell you the average then you can put your cursor over the bottom right corner and drag it down the entire way and it will auto adjust the rows for the rest of the sheet. It’ll save you a lot of time with these things. Been watching for forever and love analyzing stats and stuff. That combined with the fact that I’m an accounting major that had to learn how to use excel I make a lot of spreadsheets.

I'm not saying you're wrong, because youre not... but who the fuck does there list like that? Average/sum/min/max (B2:B23) is the way to go. Superior visuals and interaction with excel's recommended chart features. Also, rather than dragging you can double click on the little square after making a formula, and it will populate the rest of the collumn below (hence why vertical is best). Honestly don't know if it works horizontal, but I don't think it should. Vertical goated. Edit: only trying to be a dick about the horizontal v vertical, rest of the comment is actual tips for those of you that don't work in excel much, OP obviously does. Only thing better I could recommend for Kenny is using the pivot table. 30 min of messing around and it's easy to understand. Also, excel doesn't take avg as a function, have to type out average. Can always type out "Ave" and then press tab and it will autofill though.

Good point, but after last season when he averaged a 1.3 assist/turnover ratio, he just has to be top 3 (maybe even 2nd)

Good stuff Kenny. A tip for stats, to reduce the impact in the disparity of rankings use the "Median Average".

Russ at 51 on one list and n/a for 5 others is actually insane

In cases like this where there are large outliers (example: Lamelo at 82), you should use the median number instead of the average because the result will be less skewed.

To do consecutive numbers in excel just type 1 in the first box, 2 in the box under, highloght both numbers, and in the bottom corner there should be a box. Drag that all the way down to 100. If it doesnt work than add a 3 and repeat

A more simple and easy way to do this would have been to give each position a point value, and add them up. Then the one with the highest score gets the first spot etc. (It could go like this 1=100p 2=99p...)

Realistically anybody after like 35-40 it doesn’t matter too much where you rank them. At that point it’s all role players, so their value comes more from fit on their team than it does from individual talent (excluding super young guys obviously)

This was a great job. The moment I've listened Ja's name I thought: Ja for Harden would make sense for both teams. (in the short time for Memphis) Harden would make Memphis half-court offense a lot better. Ja would give Philly another dynamic 26+ - point scorer with some needed playmaking. Ja needs a new home too. His image is dirty and made the Grizzlies look bad. Harden's vision would get Bane and JJJ better shots. With Steven Adams setting picks, amazing plays could be developed. With Ja, Philly would not need to depend on Embiid's scoring that much in the playoffs. Even if he fades, Ja can score 30/40 points regularly no matter the stage.

Kenny would really appreciate if you could share the google sheets data with us. know myself and a few others would love to add a bit of data analysis flair to it and share it back w the community :))

Are there any other teams besides the Nuggets with six players on your list? Four in the Top 100 (Joker, Murray, Gordon, and MPJ) and two in the next 33 (Bruce Brown at 106 and KCP at 128). Amazing how a Ring raises the respect for everyone on a team. Before the 2023 NBA Finals, only one Nuggets player (possibly two) likely would have made this list.
