    Just happy that you caught the car in general. It could have been much worse. Good analysis of your own performance/mistake. But I think there is more to learn here: I have seen other cars passing that curve using the curb. In my view your top speed wasn’t the main mistake but a different approach into the compression and a short break afterwards could have saved that outbreak. But as I am not experienced in using the curb at the top i cannot say whether to use it or not. Good luck Niko! 🍀 Cheers & see you soon!

    Sometimes you need luck... My M3P got T-Boned. Three months old - everything done/tuned as i wanted it, and then standing at a t crossing one car hit another and this one "flew" into my driverside. Lucky that no one got hurt, but now i'm still waiting for my car to be repaired. Hope that after four weeks i get it back, only to wait another one because the complete wrap has to be redone again...

    5.24min Interessant.

    I guess it's just the "magic" of awd once you get off the throttle in a bump turn there is engine braking going on 4 wheels wich will unsettle the rear in extreme cases with alot of speed . People says it's safer with awd especially in cases like this then rwd and maybe for beginners that's the case who don't push to the extreme but as a pretty skilled driver my self who push way beyond then most people, i'd say the opposite is true, awd can be really tricky and in my opinion plain dancerous on enginebraking and tends to oversteer violently while turning. From what i can tell your steering input was on point and i can't see somebody else doing it better unless they had already preditcted for sure it was going to step out and even then i am not sure they would manage that better Happy you didn't wreck car lucky you 😬 Take care

I’m currently using 70-30 split for the rear and -8 on traction control. I wonder if you think it is worth it to experiment with -9, -10 or if it’s too dangerous for road use.

    Hey, thank you. Thats mostly because of street legal issues in germany. I wanted to go as wide as legal in the rear and there are only little rims which are street legal here, but at least I plan to upgrade the front tires to 265 so I am closer to a squared setup. 275 allaround on 9,5x19" seems to be one of the best solutions for the M3P on track.

    @nikoontrack1173

    Hey FB, you are totally right. 275 squared/ allaround would be better, but in germany it is very hard to get that approved if the wheel has no papers exactly for your specific car. So without street legal papers it would be easy. If you can, try to run 9,5" wide rim allaround with 275 tires front and rear on 18" or 19" for track.

    EVs weight is advantageous on slow corners where they can fully charge their tyres but not on high speed bends where weight becomes a burden. All heavyweight vehicles like plaid or taycan hold on throttle on high speed turns, my guess is that you should too. The opposite happens with lightweight cars that excel on high speeds but having problems putting power down on slow cornering.

    Somehow the MP3 doesn't seem to be optimally tuned when I compare it with the KZread video. kzread.info/dash/bejne/aWFtpappls3ZgM4.html They have street legal tires. The additional stiffening provided by the roll bar is of course a plus but not everything. The boards falling over edges is really hard. But MP3 behaves very well. A friend of mine drives hill climbs and setting up the chassis correctly requires a lot of knowledge of what reinforcements in the chassis have to be prepared in advance. The recuperation on the rear axle can turn the entire driving behavior on its head. He would take that out completely! So my friend his MP3 has all sorts of reinforcement parts available (available in Germany), KW suspension and Tesla racing brakes as well. Drive the same tires as in the video. But it looks different than yours, similar to the video.

    Hey Mr.President, yes that is correct. On Tourist drives you are responsible for any demage to the track but your insurance would cover it in most of the cases (other than the demage on your car). On some race events like RCN that is not the case as the entry fee includes track damage and towing. Often qualifications are labled as a trackday and then you need to pay it yourself instead.

    @@KP-xi4bj You are right on the weight issue, but thats more like a general issue on newer cars as nearly all of them are becoming heavier. For example an actual AWD BMW M3 G80 weights 1805 kg, my Model 3 Performance is 1850 kg. So I too like light cars as my 85kg Race Kart with 45 horsepower but the Model 3 is not much heavier than an acutal BMW M3 or an Nissan GTR but for sure has better weight distribution and center of gravity. And the fastest car ever (non production car of course) on the Nordschleife was a hybrid car (919 evo), so maybe the connection of both world is right now the best as Formula 1 uses this too. And yes regarding ICE production cars, the 911 GT2RS MR is a beast, love it too ;-)

    @@nikoontrack1173 Weight is the enemy of performance/handling. Is it no surprise then that the 911 GT2 RS weighs about 3,200 lbs and is the fastest production car on Nurburgring? Hint: big NO.

    @@KP-xi4bj model 3 weighs just about as much as an M3 xdrive. Look up what a C63s or a RS5 weighs. What are you even talking about? The Tesla is exceptionally light for an EV.

    Much too fast to come up on that specific hill. I often lose time being too conservative and slowing there, because it’s the place I’m most prone to accident. Glad you’re safe
