Just living vicariously through you. I didn't play the first remake until like 4 years after it came out, so I probably won't actually get around to playing this until 2028 or later. Marriage and kids really takes out your time for stuff like this other than getting up at 5am to play for an hour each day.

I beaten the game already clocking in on 108 hours. I'm also happy that you are getting into Queen's Blood. By far the best minigame in the game.

Oh, and with Cloud, when you press the evade button, you will be able to shoot your blade beams I think up to 4 times per evasion; and if you hold the attack button, he will rush up to the enemy, even in the air. I noticed you were struggling with that earlier in this video.

I'm sitting here wondering when Ryu will discover that he picked up another weapon for Tifa way back in the mines. You gotta equip new weapons, even if it's temporarily to learn its ability. It wouldn't hurt to have more materia slots, too. You might find it really handy to assign shortcuts so you can use your favorite moves in battle without having to navigate through the menu in battle every time. I usually like to assign one that increases stagger, a hard-hitting move, and two other moves I like for the other buttons. You can choose magic for the shortcuts, too. Finally, you should check your transmuter more often. You're picking up a ton of crafting material and you have to craft new items for the first time , rather if you need them or not, in order to increase your level for transmuting new and better items.

Ryu asked if we are playing this game ourselves or if we are living vicariosly through these videos? I've been looking forward to seeing what the game is like but I don't care for the battle grinding. It's intense if im playing and awesome when I watch the game.

I am just starting this video series as I finished it for myself about two weeks ago. (120 hours to do main story and majority of the sidequest/minigames)

You should assess all enemies it tells you how to pressure them also enemy attacks with ! Are unblockable you should always dodge those.

I heard there's a way to view/change the materia on all the party members' equipment in a single menu, without having to switch between which character is selected

Hell, you still need to go back to the other regions and do all the side stuff you missed in there too

I dont understand...are you not using the Access materia to make the game harder for yourself...😂 Makes finding out weaknesses easier😅 Also, in Fort Condor, it looks like the type of soldier you use is the hero you charge. Example; use defensive guys to charge up cloud, attack guys for tifa etc.

You can change your units in fort condor by hitting R2 or L2. Jrpgs are just built different, ppl think souls is so hard till they play this and try to 100% it. Also, press L3 I believe to lock target it's helps a lot with tracking. After a dodge roll cloud can do range attacks. Spirit up increases magic defense.

So when you say I'll explore everything and not go into the main story, means instead I'm going to explore half of each region and then say screw it and continue the story.

I can’t stand Aerith in this game; esp when you HAVE to fight with her. I know she’s more of a healer But cmon..

she’s not designed to be viable solo like cloud or tifa might be, which is fine most of the time, but yeah the couple times they make you fight solo with her suck 😂

Aerith requires set up. Radiant Ward is the main way to enhance her attacks and dodge. She mainly sets up wards and barriers for support and her magic hits fairly hard. She has a more reliable way to restore MP faster by siphoning them from enemies. She is more a support character not so much a combatant like Cloud or Tifa. I personally like to rotate my characters. Least favorite is Cait Sith. He's extremely hard to use in combat because he requires me to summon the Mog to actually do a lot of his damaging moves and that take up an ATB gauge.

@@TheOmegaDragon god cait sith pissed me off with that morphing and hopping bs. I know how to use Aerith i just do not like her in any of the games. Yuffie was badass in this game tho.

@@SirCoalson Yuffie's fast but has paper thin durability. Good for building ATB gauge but Tifa does it better. Honestly benched her most of the time.
