For those wondering, Lobsters do get as blue as the one in the thumbnail. They are so rare that it should be a crime to eat them.

Yep. I'm glad he didn't eat one. When they are found they really should be given a good life in a tank that collects money to support the lobster fisheries. They are just so so rare. I've never been able to find out if you have two blues mate do they produce a blue.

@kostasrakevicius2441
14 күн бұрын
@@user-ej4eq5im4r not exactly wrong, the color does get a tiny bit affected by the diet in other lobsters like the ghost lobster but from what I understand the blue color is due to a mutation in the carapace melanin that produces a lot of extra protein. Only 2 lobsters with the gene can produce another, and their chance is roughly one in 2 million.(there are other variants, with all being much more rare than the blue)

Jamon Iberico is Spanish, not an Italian Prosciutto. Spanish prosciutto (crudo) simply does not exist. Jamon Iberico is not a type of prosciutto, both Jamon Iberico and prosciutto crudo are types of cured ham.

Hi Max, loved the video. If you ever come to Spain I'll take you to eat Carabineros, Jamon Iberico and Percebes (the Spanish shrimp, "prosciutto", and barnacles you mentioned) at a couple of top tier places that will blow your mind!
this guy is great! and Max is ok ;)
1:15 black pasta thats really common, we have it once in a while in my house here in Cantabria (North of Spain) mixed with slightly spicy oil, fried tiny shrimp (camarones), and gulas (fish paste baby eel imitation), its delicious.
I give you props for trying the balut!
This was a fun cool video Max!
Thank you for featuring 2 of the traditionally Filipino delicacies, the dreaded Balut, and the heiloom Asin Tibuok.
Absolutely loved the video and loved Thomas. It's great having a non-chef demystify these obviously overrated foods by just wolfing down on the best caviar in the world and just being like "whatever"
I ordered 7 bags! I sure hope its worth it! I cannot wait! I love jerky!

Always love max vid

Your intern is awesome.
The second i heard that coke pop with that whiskey. My stomach is still lodged in my throat like i just fell off a cliff. Thanks Max😂
The giant shell fish is called Geoduck, the proper pronunciation is goo e duck. We used to hunt them for free on the beaches in the spring and fall months here in Washington when we were kids. The syphon would stick out of the sand on low tides and my brother and I would hunt them together. One person would grab the syphon and hold on for dear life as the other dug up the sand like a mad man. It was so fun. Great memories. 😊
My boy intern coming with the hard questions lol is it 10 times better!!!!
The funny thing about the fertilized duck eggs (balut) is that there's one step that you must always take, and that is to suck the juices after opening the shell. Some really don't eat the duck part of it, but you have to eat the most delicious part of it, which is the yellow one.
One guy is a badass and the other is cheerful. Nice duo
Totally agree about the panetone. A good one can still be less than $10.
So dope! Great video.
When i saw the shellfish….. Do i even need to say more
1:20 that cat in the background made my day
Your best video by far
I used to be a forensic pathologist when I worked at the stock market. During the gut slide, I used to try and guess the person's financial income based on what was in their stomach (this would usually only be fun for an accidental death as terminal death stomachs were almost always identical). Your gut slide would have been completely jarring to me. However, in hindsight, if they were all actually eaten around the same hour, I'd like to think I would have guessed "food taster".
the contrast is great. Max: *says some fancy and smart stuff* Thomas: *salty*
dude that intern was awesome bring him on more
Kind of over cooked geoduck is basically a rubber band. The 10sec poach was enough and sprinkled with sea salt or dipped in soy sauce. If anything a quick toss in a vegetable stir-fry is enough
about the unhatched fertilized duck eggs, I highly recommend you should eat them with sauce which includes salt, pepper, lil' bit lemonade. This dish is really popular in Viet Nam
I'm proud of you for trying the balut!! Hahaha. I freakin' love it! It's so good! If you don't eat the duck, at least eat the yolk and the broth in it. Those are FULL of umami!
