Next time to go Michigan, and fish the rivers coming off Lake Michigan. They spawn there in September to late October. No bear, and endless salmon running up the river. The manastee and I believe the white river, and the creeks off of them have absolutely fantastic fishing. I’ve went about 8 times for the spawning runs, and never came back with less than 10 fish in 2 days! One time we had a hole so good, my dad, uncle and I got 3 fish on at the same time, in the same hole, just to get a picture of it!!!! We had hit our limit (15 between 3 people at the time) in under 4 hours that day, and had gotten at least 25+ in that we had to release. It’s one of those crazy stories that you truly wouldn’t believe, unless you saw the pictures lol. I cherish those trips so so much, and always the highlight of my year. I know people love the west coast runs, but if you get the chance, try the Michigan runs! And so so nice not worrying about predators further up the food chain than us lol. Glad you enjoyed your trip!!!! Nothing beats river salmon fishing, and fighting a big ole fish in a small river, as it runs all your line almost out for an hour! Haha

Man thank you for this comment, at some point me and my mom plan to go salmon and trout fishing and I've got rivers all along the west coast of Michigan (including the manastee river) marked on my google maps and this gives me a good idea how the fishing is slightly!

Oh man, I'm a hunter and bears REALLY avoid humans. Doesn't stop me from being terrified of them lol. I've accidentally come across only a few and everytime through a scope. It's only during autumn that ya really should take precautions as bears get really aggressive due to having to stock up on fat for the winter. But even then just plain old common sense keeps incidents to a minimum

Lisa and Max’s friendship makes me so happy! Edit 2: A lot of people in this reply thread are saying that men and women cannot be friends and here is my two cents on that. In your experience, sure, there might be reasons why you can’t be friends with the opposite gender but that doesn’t make it not possible for other people. If you are a guy that cannot look at any woman without thinking “intimate-related” thoughts, your mindset might not be very healthy. There can be many ways to change that mindset. For example, you could seek help with a mental health professional to aid you in setting mental boundaries. That doesn’t have to be who you are. If you are a woman, I understand the concern. I know considering most of your experiences it can be scary. I won’t push you to change your mindset. However, I do hope to express that there are some of us out there who aren’t obsessed with sx and I hope you find a good few guy friends like that some day. I’m not trying to put anyone down by making this edit and I understand you all are simply expressing your opinions and experiences, but it does convey a bad light for the people who don’t fit that profile. Edit 1: When I first posted this comment I meant that I was a long fan of both Lisa and Max’s content and I was happy they were both collaborating regularly! I didn’t mean to start a reply thread like this. To everyone reading: Let people be friends with each other, collaborate, and be happy! Don’t assume things about people when you can’t see the whole picture and, also, don’t shame people for being curious and asking questions!
