About Jilian:
Jillian Lederman is a 2024 graduate of Brown University, where she studied political science and economics. While in college, she served as the Executive Chair of Hillel International’s Israel Leadership Network, the President of Brown Students for Israel, co-president of Free Inquiry at Brown, and a writer and editor for The Brown Political Review. She is also a Research Assistant for Heterodox Academy. Her writing has been published in The New York Times and The Hill, and she has been interviewed on FOX, CNN, MSNBC, SiriusXM, and News Nation. This fall, she will begin work as an editorial fellow at The Wall Street Journal.

Very salient. Not only is the "oppressor-oppresssed" the wrong measurement, it is a poisonous, calculated diversion, for this dynamic presumes the answer before an argument is even made, by the sheer weight of its dogma. Do you mean on here? Jewish people are what, three percent of the US population...do you know what percentage of media, celebrities, and political talking heads they are?
When people use words and phrases, they mean to be saying what THEY mean to be saying. Taking offense without determining what they mean is infantile. More often than not it becomes a deliberate distraction where you change the subject in order to dismiss what they are saying.

Not understanding the meaning of words and phrases before you shout them into public spaces is irresponsible and infantile. This isn't a case of "Everyone's reality is different and worthwhile." These are life and death issues, and we're not on a playground.

You DO know that "from the river to the sea" started out as a slogan touted by Zionists, meaning Israel should conquer and ethnically cleanse that entire region, right?

She's humanizing kids who deserve the charity to acknowledge they probably aren't promoting genocide. It takes ignorance on both sides to simplify things to "oppressor/oppressed" and "zionist/antisemites". It's a narcissistic view of the world to embrace victimhood and gaslight everyone else into accepting your take.
