I never understood what an octave was but it sounds pretty impressive.
@iscariot90

@@SaltyFrank1990 If you look at a musical scale as a circle, you start at the note at the bottom. You go around the circle note by note, increasing in pitch with each note. When you get back to the bottom of the circle/scale, you're back at the same note, but it's pitched a step up. That range between the same notes at different pitches is called an octave. (If anyone has a better way to phrase this, please chip in, I'm not great at explaining this stuff, lol)
Psychosocial, Duality, and Before I forget are probably the first 3 songs from Slipknot that someone new to them should listen first. Than you can get into the heavier and weirder stuff.

Back in the days this was my cleaning day music. Oh the surfaces became so shiny with this energy 😂. I borrowed my son's cd so many times, he bought me this cd as a mother's day gift. 😄

😄 my cleaning daily song keep house clean too.
All four of my sons are musicians. One of them plays guitar to music like this. He has been in a band and toured when he was younger. It was always fun to watch him play. I always liked the music but a lot of times I couldn't understand the singer with the growling. My 13 year old granddaughter really likes this band too and goes with her dad and uncle to these shows.
Dexy’s, Meat Loaf and then Slipknot! Got to love the diversity on this channel Jay!
I always really appreciate when people, like yourself, admit that they were wrong about metal. So many people have the misconception that it's all angry, evil, satanic etc... but in reality, if people paid close attention, they'd realise there is so much more to it. Metal bands have covered a plethora of topics from environmental issues, domestic abuse, homelessness, veterans who have been forgotten, global tragedies, the suffering of countries at the hands of oppressors, corruption etc... and as you say, they use their "aggressive" vocal style to express their anger at these things. For a truly powerful song, take a look at "Hush" by Hellyeah. The meaning, power and emotion in the performance is just... it's next level... the song actually makes me cry every time I hear it.
My man, you've been sleeping on Metal music period. You should definitely react to more Slipknot, they are a great gateway band for Metal. Listen to Metallica, Disturbed, Pantera, and Korn to get you used to the heavier style. Once you have acquired the taste for metal then you can jump into even more heavier and complex metal bands. Heavy Metal offers so much and is extremely diverse in styles and flavor. There really is something for everyone if more people gave it a chance. Thanks for the great reactions.

Slipknot, one of my favourite bands. The moment I saw that Paul Gray died, my head just filled with white noise, I remember it as though it was yesterday. The day That Joey Jordison died, my heart broke a little. Always amazing.

Slipknot -"Snuff" and "Vermillion" are two great melodic songs by them you should react to.
I absolutely love your reaction! I love rock/metal music so much. I got chills watching you open up to this and end up loving it! This is the first video I have seen of yours but will be tuning in for more in the future.

I respect that you can identity the skill and talent that this band has \m/ Keep up the great work!
That look on your face when you said “I’ve been sleeping on Slipknot!” Priceless. A maggot is born!
And thus, a metalhead was born! 😆 If you haven't heard "Duality" by them, I recommend it.
Haha! I'm always commenting about how I love your choice of pop songs, so now I get to show you appreciation for a song choice from a music genre I love way more than pop~ Great choice.
If the passion in Corey's voice doesn't make you feel anything, you aren't alive...
Sleepin on Slipknot lol yeah I used to think it was just screaming until I paid attn. I love a bit of the older stuff. “My Plague.”
Awesome band! Loved the reaction especially the headphone drop Lol
I’m not normally a fan of slipknot but this song is fantastic
Absolutely great reaction!!! You are heading into a band you may not be ready for😛 Enjoy
Great reaction! 👊🏽 legends! 💯
It's unbelievable that after a year since you reacted to Spit it out it's taken this long to get back into Slipknot. It is one of the most artistic and highest quality rock and metal bands of the last 23 years. In some magazine, remembering Disney, they were defined as "The beauty of the beast". You should react to Nero forte, Duality, Unsainted, Wait and bleed, Before I forget,...
I definitely slept on Slipknot for a long time too, this was also the song that changed my mind on them. Love your videos dude, new favorite channel

Joey Jordison was seriously skilled. His drumming was off the charts. Unfortunately he has passed away a few months ago. RIP Joey J.
You should react to Slipknot - Snuff the acoustic version by Corey Taylor ( leadsinger Slipknot ) you can really hear how amazing his voice is live
You should definitely check out their songs 'Dead Memories' and 'Before I Forget'!

This song was my jam in high-school. Heck I still listen to it. I love Corey voice.
this song to my knowlage is a shot at the music industry how they basically treat musicians like they own you and this was their way of saying "you dont own me"
That song was my entry, hooked me on Slipknot. 4 years ago.
Depending on the venue, they'll blow your mind with there live shows. When you're there.
Welcome to the Slipknot rabbit! 🤘 If you haven't already seen these ones, I recommend the tracks: - Spit it out (Live Download Festival 2009) Killpop Nero Forte 🔥🔥🔥
Great reaction
Love your channel mate, u proppa open to all music, before I forget by slipknot is worth a listen if u ain't heard it
🖤 Slipknot!!! Thanks!!!
You needed to see them live!!! R.I.P. Joey Jordison
I’ve seen Slipknot a few times. One of the greatest bands to see live, check out “Spit It Out” Live in Download to see their level of energy. I also suggest checking out KoRn “Blind” live in Woodstock. They also put on an amazing show.
I love your reaction to the video so funny
I grew up my whole life on rap and RnB but bro the more you keep diving into metal the more you will start liking it and noticing how crazy talented these musicians are. Listening to Death and thrash Metal in 2002 compared to 2022 is a different experience for me
Gotta check out some Killswitch Engaged with Howard Jones on lead ,, like the song " The Element of One "

Queen of Hearts is my favorite Juice Newton song. It's so catchy it'll stay in your head for weeks.
Opening the mind to good music, finally 😂
the lead singer and a few others from Slipknot are also in a band called Stone Sour and their song Absolute Zero is great.

Slipknot is amazing!
Glad you choose this absolute banger!! Knew you would enjoy it Try stone sour Corey is the lead singer n that band too 👍
Great music there concert tour coming up go see I saw them great concert

Yeah... Joey Jordinson took everyone on a journey with his skills. RIP Joey. He's a legitimate GOAT.
The video of slipknot with spit it out on download festival is insane #mustC
Rest in Paradise J.J.
Corey Taylor for sure is one of the best vocalists alive. Not only is Slipknot brilliant, but also the stuff he’s featured on and his other band Stone Sour are SO worth checking out! Songs I’d recommend by Slipknot: Duality, Left Behind, and The Devil in I By Stone Sour: Through Glass, Say You‘ll Haunt Me, and Made of Scars Corey Taylor: Bother (it’s on a Stone Sour Album, but it was originally a solo piece), Rich Man (Roadrunner United All Stars Session), I‘m Not Jesus (Apocalyptica) He has honestly SUCH a range, it’s mind-blowing

Mobb Deep-hell on earth, one of the best beats in hip hop history you will not regret it J
So soon that I watched on 720! lol
Stone Sour is so good too! Worth checking out.
I used to play this song when i want to go to bed
Awesome dude, such a (sic) band... on that note you should check out (sic) and Eyeless
RIP Joey
Check out Corey Taylor’s (lead Singer) other band stonesour. It’s not a heavy metal band and you hear his softer voice. Their most popular song is called “BOTHER”

Yess! I freaking love this band! Next react to Eyeless by them! Such a jam! And many other Awesome slipknot songs :) Do react to Metallica, Black Sabbath, Pantera , Jinjer, Death, Gojira, etc
Nero Forte would be a good next song. Welcome to Slipknot experience
asleep at the wheel brother!!! also you should look at "Mudvayne" aswell same era
Slipknot live download 2009 is the best live show ever!
Somzera da porra. Na pegada do Sepultura !!!!
Yo, metal has a whole arsenal of dope shit to discover! I've come to hold that you don't become a metalhead, you discover you're a metalhead. A handful of songs I would recommend are Orchid by Erra, Snowblood by Erra, Nightmare Fuel by The Willow, The Pot, by Tool, and The Fire Itself, by Phinehas
Slipknot - The Devil In I
Phenomenal musicians Jay. Please listen to more. They put on an amazing live show to. I hope you also jump on to listing to a band called Gojira soon. Try a few songs from their newest album stat!
❤❤❤❤
A song you need to hear and video you need to see - Fingertips Part 2 by Stevie Wonder It was Stevie Wonder's first hit in 1963. He was TWELVE YEARS OLD. Blow you away. You have never seen a twelve year old that powerful on the stage.
The singer is corey Tayler, try the song Snuff, u can really hear his beautiful voice
RIP Joey jordison
I love watching other people react to metal music. no clue why.
The feeling I get from the lyrics is anger towards society right now.
*Slipknot - "Nero Forte"*
Do more slipknot please 🥺
Slipknot are a fantastic band, RIP Joey Jordison 🙏❤ You should definitely check out more of their music. I also recommend you check out the band Breaking Benjamin. So Cold, Breath, I Will Not Bow & Dance With The Devil are some of my favourite songs to listen to from them but pretty much all of their work is amazing.

I just subscribed due to this reaction. I've been a maggot since the day I got their first album. I'm sure it's already been written, but if you liked that, check out more from this album. Check out Stone Sour too. It's the lead singer mostly singing. Slipknot's guitarist Jim Root was in it for most of the discography too. Stone Sour is basically just a rock band. Regardless...🤘
Fun fact. They had exactly 1 chance to shoot this video this way. They put those giant masks up and burned them, those were giant versions of the masks they wear built for a promo photo shoot and they only had one set. If they messed this up they would have had to rewrite the video
The vast majority of metal musicians are demanding, well-seasoned, well-trained musicians and in fact, there are those who have received classical music training.
