He's the biggest virtue signaler in chess. It's not "integrity", it's embarrassing.
The confidence and effortlessness with which Ben rolls over other masters while making good jokes... this guy's my role model. Never resign, always retreat, c4 is explosive, etc. But mostly et cetera.

For those interested in the protest: Randy Bauer, president of the USCF, belittled female chess players who reported sexual assault, and doubled down when asked to reconsider. So Ben quit the USCF. A heavy topic for a fun video, so I can see why he didn't elaborate on camera.

Fun banter from the King and Queen of trash talk
She started really well. It's funny that Ben was extremely concentrated on the game at frist. He could only unleash his trash talk when his position got better...
@soakedbearrd
4 ай бұрын
Definitely, he was concentrating. But she made the mistake of trash talking, because when she was nice she was winning lol, the second she started trash talking she lit Ben’s secret weapon, his dry wit. From that point on she was toast 😂

@@DinaBelenkayaI'm not him, but if you're interested, I'll share my opinion: shorts are a nice medium to get new viewers to your channel and they are quite entertaining. Having said that: I don't like to spend my time watching shorts - they feel shallow and are forgettable, also KZread is extremely packed with them. In contrast: Videos like this video have less dense content, but feel way more natural. In your case, I think they allow for a more genuine feel for your personality which I personally like to see/shine. That being said: I think both formats have their own right to exist

Ben never did anything wrong, those streamers just started trashing him and lying about him for no reason. Calling Ben an "elitist gatekeeper" is the most ridiculous thing ever if you consider how much Ben has done to popularize and teach chess, I've never been so mad.

@@sublimeade I'm just learning about this now too. Dropping a link below. Seems like xqc (which Ben mispronounces as qvc) got shit-talked by Ben. Probably because xqc was the #1 chess streamer for a while even though he's rated sub 1000. A lot of GMs were not happy about that for obvious reasons and some went on to insult him. Xqc called them gatekeepers. kzread.info/dash/bejne/qZ5oldh6kayqZbA.html

Gotta say Dina and Ben, it's a fun watch.
As a chess outsider, i am a Ben fan due to his work in his lecture on the Jerome.
