Amazing sculpture, as always! I love how "imperfections" in the wood like the crack are highlighted rather than hidden, it makes the sculpture feel like it's at peace with nature, not fighting it. It also adds a lot of interest to the piece, and makes it more unique.

Thank you! It originally came from a place where that is all i had to work with, But yeah now i do kinda like the look of the cracks
Another beautiful, living piece, and yes the deep groove at the back was a great idea, and does break up the form dynamically. Your carving videos are one of the few I watch from start to finish, rather than skipping parts, they're really interesting. Well done

Thank you! I try to keep them interesting and it does make me have to think very creatively which i think is a good thing!
The contrasting colors on each side one really dark and other lighter is so beautiful like you caught the diffrent personalities of the bird. One strong and angry like and other peaceful like. Love it
Humility is the keystone to life I am so proud of your outlook and your work, Thank you for sharing your gift with the world Jonas. This Hawk is stunning.
I love the oiling part. Besides satisfying to the eye, it make me happy to see you have reached the top of the mountain and can, finally get you're deserved rest.

Youre falcon came out buetiful. By making the head of the falcon made it so you could add alot more details which is really cool. The best thing about youre woodcarvings is that you have not only made it youre passion. You also were able to show youre passion to the world for everyone to see. That's what will keep you going.

@@Jonasolsenwoodcraft your craft is exquisite, listening to your voice reminds me of a warm summers day by a calm waters edge, gently trickling away. you consistently deliver quality over quantity. you’re genuine and it shows. keep it up luvli, you’ll reap what you sew.
You talk about taking all of the cut-offs and gluing them together, and making a carving. And since you will have a bunch of different types of wood, you should carve a duckbill platypus. Since it looks like a bunch of leftover parts
She may have flaws but her strength shines through...❤🌸❤

Dear Jonas, thank you for all your exquisite work. It is a true pleasure to see your sculptures blossom and to witness your art journey. You have a quality and brilliant character, thank you for sharing your sincere thoughts and experiences. You are a true inspiration and I wish you the best in life. Don't be hard on yourself, those who care about you won't judge about minor details (your sculptures are breathtaking as they are genuine pieces of art). PS: The stargazing owl is such a magical sight, right out of a storybook, with a captivating charm.

Wow, this walnut sculpture is incredible… with the „scarf“in his face it seems to be a very old and wise natural goodness you’ve designed. Personally love things with special imperfections. It gives an unique character you can’t duplicate. Thanks for sharing and when your stress make such creativity it’s worth it

A predator bird sculpture would lend itself so well to be suspended from the ceiling. Like it's diving down to its prey. Also love the idea of a frankenstein sculpture of sorts. Meaning just different scrap blocks glued together and sculpted.

Watching you work is incredible! I was watching the little fox or dog not sure which with all of the swirls.. and it made me think wow what could you do with a horses head and the swirl in the middle of their foreheads not to begin to think of the mane wow I would seriously love to see that
Beautiful, well done
Hey Mr. Jonas; yayyy so happy for a new video. I would like to say first that, when you go through stress in life, then being creative is the best way to make feel better and so sorry to hear that you have to go through stress but believe in tomorrow, the sun rises and so will the stress also go away one day. Now to your sculpture, wowwwwww again such a stunning sculpture, the black base is perfect and perfect size for it and the steel is perfect for it too. You did it again, a majestical sculpture and I say it again, like I said in the beginning, I know you can do it, I have faith in you.
Watching your videos is always a pleasure

Your talent is awe inspiring. The way you incorporated the bow ties into the sculpture worked well and sets you apart from others. Hopefully you will consider incorporating, as needed, in the future and maybe even embracing them as a feature. The symbolism that can be found in having something large being held together by a couple of small pieces resonates deeply with me. Using a different type of wood for the bow ties could help with the overall design as well.

Once more a beautiful piece. I think the split in the wood came out nicely and gave the falcon the look of an older member of it's species that saw quite a few things and came out ok, after all of it. And yeah #3 was my first pick. Thoug the mix you chose also ended up looking amazing. ^^

Amazing work as always! I really enjoy your videos and artistic creative designs.. every single one of them is unique. Somehow you can tell though, that they come from the same head ;) If I may, I have a suggestion regarding this particular piece. As u said at the beginning of this video, this cool falcon looks a bit angry, and it really does. so.. it would be better if it were leaning forward as if it is diving steeply attacking its prey. This would make it possible for someone facing this piece, to see the interesting falcon's back better than its belly.
