Coach, your point about retaining the aggression was EXACTLY what I (and many others) needed to hear. Thank you!

Strikingly aggressive and effective gambit! He comes up into your house taking things and you attack relentlessly! Thank you, Andras!

I always stumbled upon this pawn sac in the French when analyzing and looking in the explorer but couldn’t really understand . Now I finally get the logic and how to capitalize on giving away this pawn or both pawns. Thank you!! Wow!!

Hi Andras, today I played my first ever OTB match here in the local club (I'm one of those Queens Gambit newcomers :) ) . Just wanted to say that this recommendation is awesome. My opponent resigned after 29 moves (his rating was 1587), even though I didn't play it out perfectly, it appeared to be quite difficult for him to withstand the pressure. What I really like is that even though it was sometime ago that I looked at this gambit, I could still remember the moves I had to make until move 13, as the ideas are quite simpel to understand and remember after you've given up the pawn. Thanks for all the great content!

I really like this video. I think most people don't play the gambit because most French players know the Bb5+ trap. But there's a lot more to this gambit it appears!

Gawain Jones features it in his book Coffeehouse repertoire 1. The 'improved' Milner-Barry, known as Hector variation: 1.e4 e6 2.d4 d5 3.e5 c5 4.c3 Nc6 5.Nf3 Qb6 6.Bd3!? cxd4 7.0-0. That seems to be trendy ATM, even MVL played it successfully against Ponkratov in the Fide Grand Swiss 2021. I would guess french players don't enjoy playing against it very much😆

I think I'm gonna play this from now on. Was playing Orthoschnapp gambit to force black to play active, which French players don't like. But it's a bad opening. Milner Baryy is more sound

ortoschnapp is exactly the kind of opening that andras would call trash...😂 but i think it is fun. i have also played wing gambit for the same reason.

Same here except I was playing the Reti Gambit.. EDIT: ok so I did a quick look into theory/engine evaluation and it seems like if black is well prepared, white will strive to find compensation, which doesnt sound much different than the Reti Gambit.
