Andras your voice is pretty low.
A lot of thanks for making and sharing your video!!
Dominating the screen like a Bond villain :) This channel has been a massive help in my relative Giant-slayings, thanks for all the Great concepts & Chessideas 🔥
The pleasure is mine, glad to be of assistance!
Can someone explain the KD6 move that Andras was eluding to please? !!
can you give me a bit more info? Also I suspect you mean Nd6, not Kd6?
@@ChessCoachAndras Hi Andras! At 44:45 you mention Nd6 as a brilliant move. What's the brilliancy? I'm just a 1850 Lichess who's terrible at tactics
"Hey, it wasn't mate!" Yeah, we've all been there.
"Hey, it wasn't mate!" Yeah, we've all been there.
Good luck to your new chessamble course Andras !!!! I will purchase it soon , greetings from Greece !!
This video was what I needed as it adressed one weakness I had.
Do you still take new students Andras?
currently fully booked, but you can reach me here: [email protected]
On 2nd thought, Bd5 was a multi-purpose move that shuts down his position.
Thx coach! Wish you have a nice day!❤
The only thing better than a lesson with you is having it recorded so I can go back and revisit it as needed.
Love the videos coach!
Love it.
Big reminder that chess education does not do as well as chess drama, so leave a comment, a like and some love, as more people need chesscoach.
Cheers mate !
Super instructive. I would've made the exact same mistake after Rc1 Rd3; giving check on c8 to play Rc7+ and win the A pawn - it never even crossed my mind to play the immediate Rc7 in order to keep the Black King trapped, but of course as soon as it's pointed out I realise that we still keep our own A pawn and now their King is far less active. I will need to remember that one for the future!
Great Video, i always struggle in endgames, especially in rook endgames and Queen endgames
@@s1mon_234 hope it helps!
searching for more in the beginner region a question about 2 books to one who knows what he's talking: Capablanca: Chess Fundamentals Stean: Simple Chess Would you recommend one or both of these and for what rankig are they suitable?
Great video approach! Thx
Cheating ?
@@iainbozfelt ???
Did you listen to the part when I say that the opponent knew and agreed to the conditions of the game, which for reason was played as unrated anyway? Sometimes I wonder if people actually listen to what is said to them…
great vid!!
"Generally speaking, the longer the silnce, the better our position!" Love it!
@@jxob cheers mate!
At 11:48, if white doesn't play a4, is it best to continue with your sequence of developing the white squared bishop out of the pawn change or, instead, revert to the Noteboom? Thanks
A variation of the last trick actually happened recently in a game between Fabiano Caruana and Alireza Firouzja.
Surprised in game 1 you didn't consider Qd4 which is better than either Bf4 or Bxc4
Love this video! Would really enjoy more like these at a similar level.
Glad you enjoyed it. Plan to publish more of these!
I still come back to this video every now and then, super instructive
"Scary but not that good" is how I summarize moves that I know in theory has a tactical refuatation, say a bishop sacrifice, but I am not sure if I can come up with the right continuation My example would be anti berlin for black with c3 (This is from memory, no chess board used even) e4 e5 Nf3 Nc6 Bb5 Nf6 d6 Bc5 c3 d5 exd5 Qxd5 Bc4 Qd6 b4 Bb6 a4 0-0. Now a5 trapping the bishop looks scary but not that good as a5 is met by Bxf2 Kxf2 and e5. Scary? Why? Because the position is unclear (-0.8) but we are down a piece for a pawn. What is scary is not finding the refutation to some moves of the opponent (But even if it is scary I go for what I know/think is objecively best)
I know im late but thanks so much for making these ❤ it may not seem like much but it means a lot to us consumers!
@@Racissst it does mean a lot! Welcome on board and enjoy the channel!
I should've waited until the end of this video to play another game
Another absolute banger from an absolute legend! Nice of Andras to make an appearance too. #TikariTheGOAT
we do what we can!:)
love this video. more of that please
Good stuff Andras! Still waiting to see you do a rating climb speedrun with you using your chessable opening courses!
Hi. Can someone please explain why that black knight coming to C4 at the end of the video has such a devastating impact? Lets ignore the fact that we have NC6 for this purpose. Is the threat of capturing the bishop on e3 that big? I don’t quite understand as I am lower rated. I would be ok with …Nxe3 fxe3 as I see that my knight is blocking his dark bishop and if …e5 then he blocks his bishop forever. Also fxe3 opens up my rook. I’m sure I am missing something potentially catastrophic so if someone can explain would be much appreciated.
Allowing the trade on e3 wrecks white’s pawn structure , which is now also split into 3 islands. The f file is something you can’t exploit at all , and lastly we have knight versus bishop in an open position with pawns on both wings. Basically all changes favour black. Hope it makes sense .
@@ChessCoachAndras It totally makes sense, thank you! I guess this is the difference in higher rated players: being able to properly evaluate positions like this where a lower rated player attributes significant value to certain aspects (eg here opening up the f file for the rook, or capturing towards the center) when actually that has little to no value and/or missing out on other aspects that weight heavily towards not going for that particular line
@@fitmtla144 yes, what you just said is a perfect summary!
I'm a 600 rated player, just started learning chess seriously 2 months ago. I know I'm still low but I don't want to give up!
Good luck! Enjoy your chess, and try not to worry too much about your rating !💪👍
I have been following you andras since you had 2k followers and now that you have grown so much, the quality of your videos haven't dropped even a bit. Your enthusiasm for chess brings my blood gushing out. Thank you so much by far the best youtube channel on chess.

This is one of the best chess learning videos I have ever seen. Thank you!
THe pleasure is mine! Glad you like the content. I have at least one more of these backseat kind of vids on the channel!
Thanks Coach for this excellent video 👏, this was one of the topics I was looking forward for you to cover in this channel !!
@@JoseDownUnder glad I posted it then!
first comment on your channel, fantastic video. keep up the good work coach!
Glad you liked it! enjoy the content!
As a Grünfeld player I felt that the Nd4 move was a bit wrong on account of the fact that when the trade cxd4 occurs it starts to resemble a Semi-Tarrasch, meaning that every equal piece trade is favorable to black. I did find Qb5 very interesting, I suppose it also has the added benefit of preventing Nc4 for the time being. Great video as always!
Thanks!
Thanks so much ! Very Kind!
You only wanna talk about books that r for 2000 elo or higher mostly why go find books for 900 elo players to help them. You completely ignore players still learning now and they can't understand something so high level you're not even a super GM and you act like you are what a hell of a ego you have, learn to be humble for once
Wow, welcome in! Strong intro! For starters, just to get the facts right: my most viewed video is my book recommendation video for below 1700. Second, I do not ignore anyone. It is not possible to make videos that are suitable for all levels, and most of my viewers are 1500 and up cohort. That said I am intending to make content for lower levels too.3. What exactly are you talking about with my ego? I am so so confused. Four, you are welcome for the free content!
A reasonable amount of this is beyond me, but the bit about the open file and making use of it was useful. And the bit about there being no doubt that the d6 pawn promoting. Btw if you haven't watched coach Andras talk about the London, and then being forced to play the London, watch it as it is some of my favorite youtube of all time. (I started out with the London.)
I don’t understand why you are here when there is so much KZread chess content available. My rapid rating is low as well, but I can find value in all of the coaches videos. And as he said, it’s free!
Gold!
Great class! Thank you!
Hope you will like it !
