Ойындар

Kill Team Octarius... More like Orktarius, am I right? Remember when I said I found a tower, but it is actually just my own video? Very cheeky. Anyway, Zog it, please enjoy the process with me. This is slightly smaller so I will justify it as Kill Team terrain.
0:00 Why you should build Ork terrain
0:15 The best hobby supplies are out of doors
0:20 Sterilize the bark safely using a low temperature
0:27 Designing the ultimate scale model cliff
1:06 The best hobby supplies are also in this pile of junk
1:17 Prepare many scale beams and metal panels to make life easier
2:13 Begin building the tower (40k style)
2:48 Bulk out the tower using free materials
3:22 This actually IS Lego! Wake up!
3:40 Ork Fork isn't real, they can't hurt you
3:56 Scale model panel lesson for every hobbyist (You?)
4:36 Magical Mini Grot Bunker
5:02 More panels and support pillars
5:22 Arrogant fool! You must always Sbackle
5:47 Adding rivets and bolts to your scale models (the easy way)
6:18 Add sand to make perfect model base (Anakin does not like sand)
6:43 The tower would be done if this wasn't the grim darkness of the 41st millennium
6:55 Watch me break this printer down on Patreon (yes, that is a plug)
7:19 how to get the most from your orks big shoota
7:52 I have unparalleled weapon knowledge and did not just recently learn this
8:14 Base and bulk out the rest of the shoota with more detailed bits and armor/armour
8:56 How to start miniature kit bashing (tutorial)
9:35 There are a variety of ways to apply details like rivets to a model. Some of them are frustrating.
9:52 Want to add some realism or detail to miniature pipes?
10:10 How to paint terrain for Warhammer 40k Orks (obviously)
10:52 The Ultimate guide to dry brushing metal
11:25 Lesson on Acrylic paint and color / colour theory

Often times when watching warhammer hobby youtubers with a comedic slant, they go way too far into the comedy and not enough into the hobbying. Glad to say that you're nothing like that and have only really gotten funnier *and* better at showing your processes all at the same time! Beautiful.

A couple other kitbashing/trashbashing things you could try: - Using zipties as ammo belts for large guns. Turn them with the ziptie part out, and I think it would pass as a believable ammo belt after priming and painting. They come in different sizes, too. - For easy and cheap rivets, get some of those little diamonds they use for that sticky diamond art stuff. I got one of those kits for Christmas one year, and I found that I have a lot of spare diamonds after using a color, and they work perfectly for rivets. The kit even had a little cement pen to help put the rivets on more smoothly. Though if you're doing Ork terrain, the random different rivets do make it more Orky. - If you wanted to add small, bent pipes as detail, cut a long length of the rounded sprue and light a small candle to heat the part where you want it to bend, then quickly dip it in water. Obviously, you want to make sure to be safe with it, but I found it's a handy way to use up excess sprues if you have them.

  • @volatilesky

    @volatilesky

    Жыл бұрын

Make sure you anchor the zip tie at each end really well, since that stuff really doesn't want to hold onto paint, and if it bends it'll start flaking pretty fast.

Love your work! Suitably orky. I was wondering what the first piece of music that you used is called?

There are so many songs called Alone on that list, but I finally found 'Emmit Fenn | Alone' It's such lovely and atmospheric music.

8:21 Fidget spinner! Do you have ADHD? I do, and this amazing video gives adhd vibes-whatever that means. I don’t own any orks but I want to make my own ork tower now.
