There's the story Alekhine told of his watching with amusement as two amateur players plowed on with just kings, and until one of them "won" by getting his king to the 8th rank and "making it a queen"!
what a beautiful game played by these two very smart individuals.
I used to think I was bad as a kid because in that situation I'd have made sure the queens were always on diagonals with one another on similar rows/columns to ensure there's no way to take them. Never imagined seeing someone lose two queens to just a king for absolutely no reason, the 50 move rule is more than generous enough to ensure play it safe when you can't lose.
Once again, Levy has shown us that a chess game always ends in a draw when played perfectly.
