At low elo chess, whenever someone hangs a piece and the opponent misses it, you dont move the piece or defend it, because that would mean admmitting you hung a piece, and the opponent doenst take it because it would mean admitting that they missed it. What happens is that both players agree to continue as if the piece is defended.

Every time Gotham starts narrating the kind of match we are about to see, I worry it will be one of my games.
The fact that the last move almost was checkmate, and it landed on the only square on the entire file that would lead to stalemate, is just fascinating. Brilliant display of how serious of a business is 200 ELO chess.

You should make a new series where you show off games from each elo increasing by 100 each time. You basically already made an 100 and 200 elo video
I like looking the GM tag behind the 200 elos
Levy makes me want to buy a chess set from the year 716 and proceed to consume it
Seeing that stalemate hurts

I'm going to need to see this.
About 8:35 in the video: Ne2 does do something, even if it's not a great something - it blocks the Bishop's view of d1, giving the ability to long castle without losing a piece, since Nd2 can be captured by the Knight on c4. I'm not saying it's a great move, but it does accomplish something. Great videos btw!
