That was one of the unintentionally funniest videos I’ve seen. Now I understand why Sandi was trying to become one with the sheep, etc to prepare for the moving weaning lambs. That jumper was wild! So entertaining! Today’s Gong show brought to you buy Sun and Shadows. 😂

The mums from the other side are saying let them take the kids you will have peace until next time but you will be able to do what you want and the lambs are oblivious and think yes exercise and look mum joined in not knowing the mums are jumping for joy they are actually going to be free from the lambs it is like when you moved the lambs over the older lambs where saying hello to each other so cute

Get rid of the curved alley. Use the straight section only. Set it up to go straight out of barn directly to the trailer. Less turns the better. Open the whole trailer gate so they can go out faster.

6:00 This may have been suggested before, but have you tried using flags to move your more stubborn sheep? When my sister had goats and sheep, they were escape artists and the best way I found to get them herded back into their pen was by using the same flag pole I used to desensitize my horse. It didn't stress them a ton, but it was eye-catching enough that even the goats would give up that nice patch of grass when I waved it at their backside or gave them a gentle tap-tap. The stick being two meters long also helped a lot lol

I was just talking about Dr. Temple Grandin and how she changed the agricultural industry. With the squeeze shoots and the turn. How she realized that cattle didn’t like dead end areas, loud noises, shadows, sudden light, and hitting and electric shocks. The movie explained a lot.

I'm on a farm in NZ and when we have to shift a group of calves who are friendly and hard to get going. We often get an empty bottle of some sort an put some small rocks in it and shake them. The noise makes even the most stubborn ones turn and run the opposite direction 😅 Just a idea of perhaps an easy way to get them moving especially with each generation getting friendlier 🤷 Love watching your videos tho ❤

The little lambpede also shows as applause. Occasionally, a few sheep will vocalize in the same moment and auto-generated English subtitles will show words like moon, bond, mom. I need the captions, but I also wear headphones so I can hear the voiceovers. No lip reading if you're facing away.

May I suggest that you get the curved part of the chute as near the door of the trailer as possible and use non see through panels to meet the door...,,, this works well with our cattle as this makes the trailer look like an open area,, and the curve doesn’t allow for them to see behind them..
