The Jinx is real.

Yeah, the ramps at the left end of the water pool are upward ramps - and you can build rollers on them, but when submerged in the water it hides the ramp "graphic". It's nothing fancy just the ramp texture is obscured.

Also it seems the game is crashing after the 28th of Obsidian, which seems to be at spring's arrival, so it might be some dfhack script that runs seasonally that's configured differently on your setup to mine. I think I also experienced some crashes with this fort and can't remember what I did to resolve them

But when he hovered over it, it would show "upward ramp" but I don't believe it showed that.

If you could get that guy to make a minecart tutorial, that would be awesome. The mist generator looked like it only had 1 cart on that big loop, and it just kept going around, one full loop would hit all tracks! That was crazy

definitely need an explanation of that minecart setup, thats one of the most insane things ive seen

​@thefinn12345 right? I've managed to do quantum stock piles, and I made an auto lava full system once. That was a huge pain jn the ass to figure out!

@@mikealtekruse7823 Absolutely, even just working out the intricacies of water mechanics can be challenging. Just making a pump water fall system can really get into some detail. I'd love to see a channel dedicated to weird systems for all kinds of things.

Minecarts system are insane. Some are mindboggler.

Love your contributions to the DF community! Though I think this would have significantly more "grab" if that whole first 2.5 minutes was actually edited to show what you were describing - would have made for an exciting teaser, instead of a droning intro that kinda kills interest and momentum. New viewers clicked this link to see a cool minecart system, show that in the first 10 seconds! Even if it's just a tease until later action. Also coulda used a short description of "impulse ramping" for all the new DF players that haven't dug into all the minutiae of dwarven architecture. Might be a bit easier to follow if instead of trying to quickly toggle pause, you used the "step" key to follow the carts? Look forward to your next vid as always!

Not watched the rest of this yet, but there's two dwarves on screen for the first couple of minutes that just have black voids where there eyes should be. Looks super creepy, especially the female on the left.

Love everything DF lore.

Search for the name of the fort. If its not there then I can't help.

Just my opinion. I like the lore videos in general but I come to the community forts videos more for design ideas and fun implementations to help me with my next fort. I find it helps me to avoid getting into a rut and making very similar forts every time.

We are assuming the crashes was a dfhack conflict and I have a fat cpu.
