I'm pretty sure this tower must've actually fell from the heavens, either that or this is a Dwarven Tower of Babel and this is going to end in tragedy. PS: I'm pretty sure that wasn't a microcline statue at the top :)

Adamantine, yeah.

I had a similar embark. Scarlettours had a tavern, their pride and joy, Banditdrink. I settled in the desert, planning to make an Egypt or Sumerian themed embark. It looked like the wild west instead. So I made the tavern out of saguaro wood, a slow process. After doing that, I set up a railway going up the waterfall cliffs. It was dangerous and resulted in many deaths, despite trying to slow the carts down

*looks at my five-level square mess, looks at this majesty, cries and runs to room*

I wonder how much irl time it took to build all that. Not to mention marvelous performance of DF when building on surface.

If they use df hack, then this would be far easier and faster. If they did it by hand, then thats incredible, and i cannot imagine this only being a 40 year fort

This fort looks great. Im not done with my fort till Mountainhome, and I have made adamantine armor and items for my adventurer. I made a special area for my adventurer to access, to grab all the treasures.

Oh man, I don't even play the game but I'm so jealous of you guys creativity. Makes me scared to start playing it but holy jesus it's a blast watching the community!

Im still learning the game so these builds are hella impressive. But there's nothing wrong with utilitarian builds to start. And it's easy to make some simple room shapes just by cutting corners (literally)

from 5:47 to 6:11, theres Flying Butresses, Circles are probably easy compared to that.

The world map looks interesting. I wonder if some advanced world gen settings were changed. I'd realy like to see a tutorial on that. Fantastic, mind blowing fortress.

There is a really in depth guide on the wiki, if you mess with world gen its a very valuable resource

Dragon hatchlings? Do they no longer attack military dwarves regardless of faction membership? I had sort of checked out from paying attention to DF because I can't afford to take a week of vacation for the launch of adventure mode. But dragon forts are one of those things I spent a lot of time on in the past and this news might kill my evening and weekend productivity.

And that's on experimental. Building on surface is a killer for fps...

you cant help but feel a little bit discouraged after seeing that when you wanna make a 3D fort
