Shame about the prop but still a memory you will always have. My dream was always to have one of those huts on a secluded beach well away from anywhere.

Feel your pain…lost prop AND shaft….shaved clean off hit something getting up in 1.5’ of water maybe 1.5-2 years ago. Limped home 4 miles on a trolling motor barely made it in at last light. 😭🤷🏼‍♂️☠️ Painful and expensive…but hurt less than having driven through the night to LA and tournament ruined 👀💯🙏🏻. Bless y’all and hope it isn’t a whole new lower unit. We put a rebuilt one on due to supply issues at the time and cost…has worked out but still was $5-6k🙈. Good luck 🍻

thank you so much, def a hard blow when we were so excited about the tourney. That's the way it goes though and thank you for the support.

Made me wanna go look up the winning weights of that tourney. My brother and I fished the IFA Redfish Tour in Louisiana before I moved to Texas. Usually takes 18 lbs to win and that's with the 27" slot limit. I went a couple weeks back (to Delacroix) just to fish with my brother and realized again just how fat those fish are. Same length fish in Texas is 20% lighter. It's the Mississippi River water Delacroix is inundated with. Just as likely to catch bass and channel cats as reds and trout, the the reds eat bream for breakfast lol.

@@lainedebrow2017 I know man it took over 17lbs just to cash a check. Thanks for watching. I used to fish the IFA hard back in the day too, back when they still had the Florida Panhandle division. I miss the old tourney days

Wow! That bent shaft ain't no joke. I figured the prop blades would give way before the shaft would bend. I lost a couple props hitting trash on the river and always carried a spare prop. Nice fish!

Sent you a pic on Facebook of a big black drum I caught In Seadrift this morning I caught two but the other broke my hook trying to pull it up at the pier !!!

Thank you Jesus for keeping these fellow fisherman safe even through the break down they got back safe. It was a bent shaft, we had extra props and prop kits with us. They were stud reds for sure, hate we missed the tournament
