How To Find Redfish On Low Tide (What To Look For)

Ойын-сауық

I was out filming an Insider Report in search of redfish, but I was looking in all the wrong places.
That is until I noticed what was causing the trends to slightly change.
See the FULL blog on our fishing tips page and learn more about the tackle and gear used in this video here: bit.ly/3SuGw54
It really comes down to the water level and if redfish are able to push as far up against shorelines as they want.
Low tide presents amazing redfish fishing opportunities but it is all about knowing the current trends and staying in tune with redfish behaviors when you are out on the water.
Remember that these fish want to feed in shallow water!!!

Does it matter if in those feeder creeks it is just muddy bottom in the water and not grass? Will redfish still be in an area thats muddy bottom?

100%! Redfish will dig around in soft muddy bottom for crabs and other crustaceans. That is when you'll see them 'tailing' with their tails out of the water because they're looking for food in the mud. Especially in the wintertime, that mud will heat up and provide redfish with a comfortable place to feed!

@@Saltstrong thanks for the reply! I’m really enjoying yalls content so far. I’m new to inshore saltwater fishing, Panama City area but I’ve discovered so far that the Reds will definitely be in the Cord Grass near a Bayou mouth in a high tide so far. I’ll try it on a low tide and see as well. We have a ton of these “muddy” Bayous as well so I’m looking forward to trying out what you showed! Thanks again

How to find potholes in the marsh while on the water?

What did you use to get the hook out of his gut? I always have a hard time with this and have taken to debarbing my hooks as I’d rather lose one than kill one due to gut hooking a fish with a barbed hook and not being any good at getting it out.

Great question! Make sure to ask this over on the actual blog or in the Community (www.saltstrong.com/) where the coaches spend their time. The blog can be found here: bit.ly/3SuGw54
