I did notice a couple things, too🙁. The sad part is that we did clean up a lot all day. I was just dumb enough to edit out and/or not film it. In our storage locker videos I had learned that nobody wanted to watch us putting things back in the boxes and cleaning up. I think it was a mistake in this video because instead of just keeping it moving along, it is very distracting to some people.

Agreed and that's why some suburban cities ban scavengers or trash pickers
I love how the homeowners come out with more stuff for you and are so friendly. They probably look forward to this time of year so they can do a mini clean out. I always feel better donating what I don’t need as opposed to throwing it in the trash. My favorite item was the kids kitchen with all the pots and pans and utensils.

It really is nice of them, I feel like we met a lot of nice people out there. I think some of them do look forward to the clean out and the atmosphere of the whole event. I know what you're saying about donating, I think both the homeowners and pickers like us get a little bonus of good feelings by keeping good things from the landfill. I think the little kitchen may be Bobbie's favorite, too, lol

After digging things out of the boxes, Can't you put things back in the boxes? Don't just throw things around. That's why some people don't want people digging in their trash. They leave a mess.

I did notice a couple things, too. It's amazing what you learn watching yourself. There was something that makes it look much worse than it was, though... the editing. I think I left out every time that we put the stuff down or in the truck and picked up after that. In our other types of videos I learned that nobody wants to see us do any of the cleaning, but I think in this type it's just the opposite. I think it's distracting to not show some
You should pick up after your digging

I did see some of that, too. I guess you learn something watching yourself on video. Believe it or not we did clean up a lot that day, too (including things we didn't mess up).
The brass eagle you found used to be given out to home owners as a symbol of pride for the completion of the loan on the property, in other words showing your neighbors your property was paid off! It used to be a symbol of pride to property owners to display this on the front of their house, so sad to see that in the trash....glad you rescued it from recycling.

We have once a month in our cities in Maricopa county in Arizona. If I had a vehicle I would go doom dooming (it's what my hubby calls it). We just saved a dresser a couple days ago from the sidewalk. And I am a part of a neighbor group and we saved a brand new bed that I was just chilling I believe in a spare room. Still fully wrapped in plastic and has a cover that comes off to be washed. Also this weekend another neighbor is nice and gonna drop off 2 more dressers. I just let neighbors know we just moved and whatever furniture items and craft items we would love to regime so they don't have to go to the dump.

Hi! I'm glad you're here, thank you for saying hello!!!
Love this! Just found your channel! So can I ask - how do you store all your finds if you are going out regularly? You must accumulate so many things. Do you have a storage unit? And do you make a decent full-time living reselling? Thanks
@FlippinTheMitten
7 күн бұрын
Hi, you sure can ask. We do have extra storage space at home and at our flea market booth, but we do still get overloaded sometimes. One of the things that helps is trying to sell some of the less valuable stuff cheap and quick as possible. Making a living as a full-time reseller can be hard work, but we have always managed to, at very worst make as much as working a decent hourly job. At best, when we've been doing a good job for a while, we can stay steadily at a much higher income. Not millions, of course, but definitely more comfortable. It does take a lot of work, though and any time we make changes, like spending more time at the flea market instead of selling online (for example) - our income can change quickly.

I thought you knew the area well, lol. It's so neat hearing from people that know the area. It really does add to the fun

DEPENDING UPON HOW WIDE SOME OF THEIR STREETS ARE AND IF THEY ARE GOING DOWN THE DEAD END RD IT'S SUPER HARD TO TURN THE TRUCK & TRAILERS AROUND !? WE ARE ON THE EAST COAST BUT WE DON'T SHOW IT ONLINE ! SOME TIMES I WISHED THAT WE COULD USE 1 TOO BUT, THAT'S OUR ISSUE AND THEN WE CAN'T JUST PICKS EVERYTHING UP 😢

You are so right! We actually have an old, utility type trailer, but we didn't have time to empty it before we left. We had just finished emptying a storage unit that we had bought and wanted to get out there before it was too late. We sure regretted not having it

I know what you mean. We took a trailer the first week of this event (if you didn't that video yet) I got into a really tight spot TWICE. I was a bit worried about whether I could get out, especially one of the times. It took so long to turn around that I bet we didn't leave it in the video
You are finding so much on the curb. I have one suggestion, slow your movements with the camera. You are taking us along, but you are jerking in so many directions, I got woozy. Just sayin'.

Thank you for the suggestion. I really does help. I am always trying to get better and with a lot going on during filming and with long hours of work and editing, it is really easy to not notice certain things for a while. I hadn't noticed that much in the videos lately, so thank you for mentioning it so that I can keep an eye on that.. right now instead of later. The only sad part is that we've recorded more videos before I read this, lol
Since you're not taking that stuff out of the trash can why do you call it trash somebody else's item is somebody else's find how about a people go to your house and pick up all the trash
Why u scratching out my table, beautiful table how it’s design I can take it down and put it back up. You guys are tearing up the top putting your meat pounders on there so sad.
