It didn't look 100% real, so knew there was something going on. It wasn't that the perspective was off or that the car didn't look good but something else I can't quite put my finger on gave it away. Beach sand isnt strong enough to hold a heavy car at that angle with just a few feet of it in the sand.. thats what caught my eye first

This forced-perspective idea is similar to the one my cousin and I used to film a short action film with a HotWheels car many years ago 😄🚗🎥

Bro the beginning is so trippy

I drove a 74 beetle for five years in the late 90’s and I miss driving it all the time. I also am a computer nerd , not a car guy, and I spent 14k over five years keeping the bug running. Unless you are a car nerd, owning a vintage vehicle isn’t worth the grief. It’s better to send it along to someone who can appreciate it.

Andy i love your videos i used to watch you as a kid and i still do i was wondering if you can put your stickman battle on your shop because i think it was one of the best

I think using a split diopter or a longer lens like a 135-200 to blend the background/foreground paralax together would help sell the effect. I think with 4k cameras my eye can see the lack of details in the model being closer to camera contrasted with the resolution softness of the actress being far away and it gives the scale away for me. But with a diopter or a tighter lens I think its be harder to catch/help sell the effect.

Your thumbnail scared me. 😂 I remember your car at the apartments. I always made sure the kids respected it. I'm sad you parted with it though.
