I Built the Grandaddy of all Gundam

I'm BACK ladies and gentleman. Apologies for the long wait for this next video, I've had a lot of things I needed to get done. Regardless, I completed this small project, the high grade grandaddy. Was a fun build for most of the process and highly recommend it! Hope you guys enjoy the video and let me know what you think!!

I just started building Gunplas myself and I’m so happy I found your channel. It’s a breath of fresh air. I enjoyed watching the great mix of commentary on the build process, the skits and ASMR. And the editing, it puts everything well together! Wow. I can see you’ve put in a lot of effort into the editing, it really shows. I hope to see you with more Gunplas in the future. 😁 P.S. if you you’re looking for more kits to build, HG Darilbalde from the Witch from Mercury line is awesome. It’s a strong red and with panel lining, the details pop.

I love the quality of your videos! Welcome to the hobby, if you're already onto your second kit it's too late to turn back now lol. You've got plenty of options to explore, i just recommend giving every grade a try to get a taste of what all is out there. Hell there's 3 other HG kits of Gramps that are currently in print that build entirely differently from each other if you want to see engineering variety, and if you really want to struggle with small parts look into RGs! The RG Gramps is the same size as the HG but with over 250 parts (i don't recommend the RG Gramps specifically tho, get a more recent RG if you want to try them out or wait until later this year for the new version of RG Gramps that was just announced)

I've technically built gunpla before when I was a kid but I recently picked the hobby back up a few months ago nearly twenty years later after watching The Witch from Mercury. I've since been working my way through most of the Witch from Mercury kits and they have been a blast to build, I highly recommend just about any of them. I just have three more left before I start giving RG kits a shot. RG kits didn't exist when I last built a gunpla and from what I understand they've effectively got the detail of an MG wrapped in the scale of an HG and I'm really looking forward to the challenge. Cheers, and I hope you try your hand at more gunpla.

If you want kits that are comparable in size, but significantly more detailed out of the box, I'd go with real grades. Newer ones. They are in numerical order, and I'd only work on 25 and higher. If you look at the head, particularly the v-fin, you’ll see that on the tips there are some safety nubs to keep them from being too pointy. This is in most HG’s, but you can make them look sharper by snipping it a little, cleaning it with a knife, then sanding it down. It’s a simple change, but it makes a big difference.

@@MaxWinstanley007 They also have better articulation than regular High Grades. It’s almost like a step up in quality between High Grade and Real Grade kits even though it’s still a HG kit.

My advice: Go crazy with it, you can spray paint it for a more realistic approach. You don't have to worry about messing it up since that is one of the cheapest models

Well, if you think High Grade (1/144) is harder to build than Full Mechanics (1/100), then you would be in more pain with Real Grade (1/144, same as HG) which is basically scaled down Master Grade (1/100).

@@MaxWinstanley007my advice: better stick to building more HG (like 2 or 3 more) to get used to the small pieces, then you could try on building a RG kit (avoid RG Zeta at all cost, it's a literal hand grenade).
