What you were saying about torque wrenches is my EXACT thought. Been wanting to grab the snap on digital for a long time. I run both 3/8 icon torque wrenches, one from 40-200inlbs that I absolutely love, and the other 3/8 from 20-100ftlbs. The bigger one I don’t trust, gives different reading a lot. I’m an auto tech and the snap on digital is extremely nice, I also think that bikes will introduce angle torque soon, meaning +90 degrees on some fasteners. That’s when I’m gonna jump and grab the snap on. Definitely a great investment! Also great video. EDIT** I would also HIGHLY recommend grabbing a set of Knipex Twin grip pliers. They are seriously impressive and hands down the best set of pliers I own. They make removing stripped bolts a breeze. One of those tools I don’t know how I did without before.

I feel the same about the 3/8 drive Icon; it can vary and it scares me sometimes. Noted on the pliers - I honestly don't have a really good set and will look into those! Thanks!

As someone who owns the knipex ones, get the icon copy, they have less slop and cost significantly less

The impact driver made me smile. I've owned one since I was 10 (I'm 58) and scrounged up a Yamaha DT 60 (much to my parent's chagrin) that didn't run. It was my first bike. Hey, what did my parents expect? After seeing On Any Sunday, I couldn't think of anything else besides bikes. It's really their fault. So, I got some tools, learned how to work on engines, electrical, brakes, and suspension with that old Yammie. One of our neighbors who built choppers showed me how to lay down the shocks by welding in new mounts, which probably was the start of my fabrication interest. Today, I have a metric shit-ton of tools, welding, cutting, and machine equipment. I love to build things. That's all I want to do. I have to agree, the shop sink is a game changer. I really want to get a stainless one with a drainboard. Maybe like a used restaurant equipment piece. Also, I like your lighting setup. I've seen those lights before in another video and I thought they were scene lights for shooting video, not work lights. Currently, I have a lot of LED with areas divided as perimeter (over workbench areas) and floor. You almost cannot have too much lighting. One of the best things I did was to install a sub panel in the garage and divide off the feeds into lights, outlets split between east and west sides with breakers for each, separate 220s for welding, plasma, and machines, and one for a hard-wired compressor. I've also added roof ventilation to pull the heat out in the Summer. We are probably going to move from So Cal when I retire in a couple of years. I told my wife I would like to buy a big shop with a little house attached. That's 'the dream.

With mini splits, just make sure you service it regularly. Keep the filter clean and it will be a great addition. But they are high maintenance and make a ton of water. Those hexagon lights a legit and can’t wait to add a set to my garage.

Icon has a 3/8” electronic torque wrench for less then snap on and usually snap on trucks have a way to test your wrench to see if it’s within spec and will also send it off for you to get it calibrated just food for thought
