Everyone needs a thread checker!
Best place I’ve found to mount an extension cord reel in a garage is right in the middle of the ceiling. You can usually plug it into the same outlet as your garage door opener and it’s always able to reach where you needed.
So funny. I recently rearranged my garage and did the complete opposite. The walls are peg board instead of drywall...basically, so the entire thing is pegboard. I got so fed up with seeing everything I bought the biggest toolbox I could get and then another toolbox and jammed everything in them. It really made me feel less in a state of chaos when I was just in the space. I couldn't seem to get it to feel organized with everything hanging on the walls.
I like having extension cord reels mounted to the ceiling between the car spaces, using the garage door opener outlets.

Lots of nuts and bolts from motorcycle customization and no Thread Checker at home. Gotta run to the hardware store. They look at you funny when you stand there with 50 nuts and bolts that you are sizing but not buying. Great video.

What a Great shop, and, I would Really like to have an awesome Thread Checker, or, anything at all from you , Sir !!
I put a few pieces of hitch receiver tube around my fab table and shop and have a number of things - including a vise - mounted to 2" tubing that I can set up in any of the locations in the shop. Works great. I made some stabilizer clamps by copying a trailer htich stabilier that help keep anything from shifting around. I have my thread checker right next to all my harware as well. Best spot for it.

For the vice idea, I saw someone use a hinge idea and it would live underneath the bench and when you need it you can just swing it up and lock it in place.

I used to work quality control in a factory where they made sweaters. I was a thread checker and would cut off extra thread.. Your job is way cooler.

Thread checker is a useful tool. Also, if you just keep light stuff in the same size bins you can slap together a lifter on a pole for those tall shelves

Great ideas to organize my business and hobby shop. I’ll love to have the tread checker. A few months ago I have the problem you make an example. Finding the right pack for my Porter Vable DA polisher. Also have tons of stews to organize. It will very handy to get one and more if it’s free :). Thanks ja for share your garage.

A thread checker would be a welcomed addition to my garage!
Currently have a thread checker in the Amazon cart but a free one would be better. Just finished up a garage overhaul myself post home reno. An organized garage is the best.

Sweet garage setup. Stupid Simple Tools (SST) makes a decent thread checker as well. Picked it up on sale from Amazon and I've been using that in my shop with no complaints.
