The best thing would be planetary hubs on the pull truck so you take some of the torque off the axles and do your final gear reduction out at the hubs just like a tractor does

That’s what happens to pull trucks and tractors it’s an expensive game.

Looks like the spyder gear is cracked in that last shot of the clip, that would be what caused the splines to skip and sheer on the axle.

I don’t think that cutting oil is gonna do what you want. You need the water soluble aqua tap stuff. Pretty sure crc’s aerosol cutting oil is actual petroleum based and won’t mix

When you weld the diff can you include a clip of how you did it? I need to do the same but can’t find any info on it!

Yeah doing some updates to tractor would help a bunch and def put dataloggers in that big truck and tractor that way you can track some temps and pressures . You will be a slave to those machines as along as you enjoy doing it and there is a computer cat that run in pro pulling from WI . I knew this video was coming. Your rearend broke at the last pull. You just finished it off at this pull. Go back and watch the left front drive right before you push in the clutch at the end of the run at the previous pull.

Hey Bruce just curious why is that one cylinder not hitting at idle?

We used Napa water soluble cutting and grinding oil. Comes in a one gallon jug 765-1525 is the part number. 2 cap fulls per gallon.

You need to get both rears locked posi, weather it be welded spiders or proper lockers, will pull better, but once ya get it locked up and hookin up, your gonna need more power.

Make sure you are checking your burn in marks on your back tires that’ll help tell you if your tire pressures are correct both should be the same depth👍👍

Use your old motor oil to shine up those tires and it’s free. Already paid for the oil.

You need to build all truck and tractor that you've built. right now your running other people's builds make something g that you can say you built from the ground up. Like blue collar. You stretched it you built it. Right now your driving another man dream.

Thats not the proper kind of cutting oil. You are supposed to use soluable oil. Its an oil that will mix with water to make coolant for use in machines. That oil wont mix with water.

Many farmers also use crop oil. Its a soluble oil that is mixed with sprays to make the spray spread out on the plant better. Go to a machine shop and ask for soluble oil. They will know what you want.

@@ronniewilliz153 I honestly don’t know. I don’t know what class that tractor runs in so I can’t be for sure. I know my buddy that runs 10k hot farm just runs a regular triple disk pulling clutch. Pretty sure light limited super stock runs slipper clutches. But again I don’t what class it was built for

Actually the water keeps the pistons from melting. The oil in the water is supposed to be soluble oil. It will make the water look like milk. Its there to lubricate the pump since the pump is a hydraulic pump and its bearings are normally lubricated by hydraulic oil when actually used in a hydraulic system
