I always stop and try to help anybody, especially with Family, blessings to you and your family Sir.

This is a crappy situation but remember that if that happens to you and you are in a position to just purchase $100,000 dollar truck and have it delivered to the side of the road within an hour or two, you are still very very blessed. I know you've worked your tail off to be in that position but still. For about %90 of people that would have been a vacation ender, and a very tough situation to recover from with the cost of the tow and repairs. That's a beauty of a new truck!! Good luck with the rest of the vacation!

Good people attract good people. That Ram dealer was a real gem, as was the wrecker that helped you out. You're the man Wrecker Rick, modifying and fitting the hitch on the spot as you did!! Have a great holiday with your beautiful family and enjoy your time together. As for De Niro, lessons sometimes have to be learned the hard way. Having your engine let go due to his inattention and leaving you stranded is far more serious that him using your fuel card.

Dang Wrecker Rick what a way to start a vacation!!! But in true MURPHYs Diesel fashion you didn’t skip a beat of getting back on the road!!!!

If you were near me I would have let you use my 2019 Chevrolet 3500 6.6L Duramax diesel truck so you and your family could enjoy the rest of your vacation. But I truly would like to say thank you for everything you do, we need more people like you out there.

That's gonna be a hell of a story for the sales guy. "yeah dude I swear yesterday on your day off I had to go pickup a guy because he broke down on vacation pulling a gooseneck camper, He bought a new truck on the spot and had us deliver it to him just so he could keep on rolling"

Glad your safe and have a great vacation if not already over.

Why I do my own oil changes and minor maintenance. Only after taking my brand new Powerstroke in for it's first oil change, only to find 4 hours later a pool of oil under the truck. Grabbed the oil filter and was hanging on by it's last threads. I don't have the luxury of having new trucks delivered to me so it's doing my own maintenance for me.

Nothing worse... after owning my own towing business for 20 plus years, it really sucks when you have to be towed yourself. I feel your pain.

Thank God you’re able to easily remedy the situation. I’ve been pricing the duallys in Vernon Oklahoma. Hope you did well in price of the new truck. Locally is about 10-20k more than Vernon. The family handled the situation well. You have a blessed family.

Kind of reminds me of my vacation back in 1978, I was home, and my truck was in the shop and wanted to go somewhere and have fun, I decided I was going to walk downtown to see if my truck was ready at the dealer and if it wasn't I wasn't walking home, I drove home in a New black 1978 Trans Am that day LOL.😆

Had a similar issue on the interstate once. Bottom of the radiator came loose and blew into the fan blades and carved a banana shape and cut it to the radiator. Had some JB Quick weld and packed it i to the radiator where it was leaking. Refilled with water from a cooler I had with melted ice. Radiator held for 4 years then I sold the truck. Glad everyone was safe and you made it home.

One of these day's Deniro will learn... You know what they say about them young folks right? 😂 Be safe out there Wrecker Rick and family. Hope the rest of the vacation went smoothly! Looking forward to that barber video! Stay classy everyone.

Well spit! Some days. Nice trailer, they build them at 1 of our plants. I take care of the air compressor that helped build that trailer. Kinda cool, anyway I hope your trip got better.

Suck to be stranded but At least you did what you did and keep your family happy at the end of the day is good to have the knowledge that you have so no one be in panic mode that new ram 2500 is beautiful stay bless keep up the good content 💯

Happened to me once, I had to walk to autozone, got some quick steel epoxy and 2 gals of coolant, I stuffed the radiator with the quick steel, waited 2 hrs, bleed it, then made it home. Watched that needle like a hawk. Temp fix quickly became a permanent fix 😂. Never had an issue with it, but a few years later, I changed it for a piece of mind.

I am a FORMER owner of a RAM it pickup. Mine made to 70,000 miles and I couldn't take being stranded anymore. Bought a TOYOTA and never looked back!

I used them when I drove OTR. They are a really fair company

You sure handled the situation with honors though Rick, and you ended up with one heck of a beautiful new Toy Hauler. You've got my respect for getting it done with Class, and Style. Just got stranded with my kids and wife today in my SUV. Man...i for some reason chose the right exit to get off in a town and everyone from autoparts store and shop to put my alternator on. Found aome really helpful guys from all around in that city. Crazy, the man above tested me today. I conquered today with no negative energy and was positive the whole time. Crazy, when you are positive it all works out. Sometimes your patience, attitude, conviction, is test. I prevailed and believed

Find a chevy duramax lbz and do a total rebuild , 320.000 on mine and I will take it most anywhere @ 16 mpg @ 8400 lbs love my bowtie !!
