What’s bad is u don’t know body work. Simple easy fixes unless ur a noob. Yeah I can see why u whine. Omg a hole in metal. What do I do. Omg. Omg hanging a fender or replacement rocker. Omg. I guess if you can’t screw it in or bolt it your clueless. Actually I love when mechanics do all the heavy lifting work on the fixing of it. When it’s ugly and a mess cosmetically u get real bargains. Looks sell and that’s all that matters. Like a moth to a flame

I just got rid of the same truck last year but in a 99 first year. Black 4.8 4x4 shortbed in black. Best vehicle I've ever owned. Had to do knock sensors and a fuel pump in the 80k miles that I owned it. Pa salt started getting into the frame at 184k. Sold it still running fine but miss it everyday. 4.8 are great engines too. They take boost better than the 5.3 because of the flat top pistons. Great truck

Hey Wizard: Your Chevy Truck is really cool. Yeah it’s ruff , but it’s a short box fleetside!! My suggestion is to pull the box, change out the sending unit fuel pump assembly. Pull front clip Then power wash the frame, motor etc. I’d get a 6.2 and trans from bone yard and put in it. You could fix the cab and doors then just replace bed and front clip with later from bone yard. You might be able to get full box for just a few hundred as well as a front clip. It’s definitely worth saving.

Nice!!! More fun than just educational for a change. Please keep track of your dumpster fire spending to bring this back to life but also include what it would cost if we were bringing it to you for ALL of the repairs that you do to it.... then please roll out the list like a roll of Bounty (The Quicker Picker Upper) at the end so we can see what we as customers would be in for if we made a glorious potential mistake like this. Lol

This one actually has a lot of potential. Body panels are easy to come by and gmt800s are super easy to work on. De-gangster it, fix the issues, cheap paint job and it could be a nice cruiser. 4/6 drop and some nice wheels and you have a nice little sport truck.

Telling facts my man. They’re not body guys at all can’t refinish anything themselves. Could easily fix those minor things refinish and flip for 15. Oh well. Not the best on body estimations are they. Actually I would do my own refinishing. Easy base clear job for low cost too if you know how. Simple and fun. But hey if it’s scratched sell it 😂

The cateye (facelift) gmt800s have a lot more wiring hiccups than the NBS gmt800s. If the wiring has too many issues, it's debatable if it is worth it

Also the 4.8 handles boost really well and at only 190,000 miles it’s begging for some turbos. I know the wizard is just fixing it but this would be a really cool street truck to either do a dirt cheap 500 ish horsepower turbo setup or go a little further for 700+ horsepower.

@@joshweaver38 were yours cateye or round body? Everyone I've met with a cateye has a ton of wiring problems because GM started cheaping out and using thinner wires around that time.

I don't think the wheels are stolen. I'm running honeycombs on both my 04 Silverado and my wife's 05 Escalade. The smooth center cap is indicative of an aftermarket knock off wheel. There are quite a few companies selling reproductions.

Rust replacement panels are probably available cheap, cheaper than trying to bondo the rust anyways. Basic repair and maintenance would probably cost between four and seven grand depending on how good he wants it to look afterwards.

Just say it was bought from a paisa and move on. Instead they attempt to make digs every chance they get." Well they hauled something, that's for sure" just stop racist.
