If Brian Shaw drives 48 hours to get dumbbells home, you know those are rare... This shows how much he values the history of strength and equipment.
Brian vlogging if a gift to everyone. Seeing him get so excited like a kid a Christmas when he finally got the weights Warms my heart.
Those dumbbells are virtually indestructible but Brian is happy that they are "safe" 😆

There is no one more suited to own a set of dumbbells of this caliber than the GOAT himself. So happy for you, Brian. I am also VERY impressed by this amazing set. WoW!!!
Brian picking up that 1# dumbbell 😂
Cool seeing the york dumb bells. Hits home for me. My great uncle was an orignal worlds strong man. George "Ernie" Pickett and trained at the york gym in PA. He set several records back in his day if you ever get the chance to look him up.

Glad to see Eddie genuinely have fun Sumo wrestling and Brian genuinely happy getting the dumbbells he's always wanted.
*I have some vintage Weider and Gold's plates a man in his 20's sold me that once belonged to his father. He built a modern rubberized plate gym and I still imagine kept some from dad, but what he and his wife sold me was a wicked bargain and a 3 hour round trip! lol* My plates would easily grab some big bucks in auction, *but I'll likely keep them until I cannot use them anymore, and know they will end up with the right person.*

The york globe dumbbells are like circus dumbbells. These are my favorite by far. It’s cool how some old gym equipment is still in good condition. It says a lot about the manufacturer

yo brian you’ve motivated me so much bro i really appreciate it man🙏
Congrats on scoring these! It's fantastic to see the excitement and knowing you will put them to great use is amazing - keep after it!
It's so awesome to see how passionate you are with your gym stuff, it's always cool seeing the collector side and obtaining "IT" items to do you with your passion! 🙂
I'd love to see you make a whole section of the gym all old school equipment! Keep being great Brian 💪
Such an awesome collection of strength history! Keep inspiring us all, Brian!
Congratulations on this amazing find and addition to your phenomenal gym, Brian. It's always the best outcome when something ends up in the hands of someone that will truly appreciate it!
Absolutely love this. Brian, your attitude is just contagious. So glad to see you pumped for such a great find. Super cool!
I was worried until I saw the emergency cheesecake. 😅
Honestly kind of awesome seeing vlog style. It's great having your awesome camera men and other people involved in the video. But something about just you and the camera is so cool. Let alone there was absolutely zero chance we couldn't tell how excited and happy you were to do this trip
Congrats, I know your boys will grow up working through this set…. Such an amazing thing!❤
Really love your truck!! Thanks for the content Brian, killing it as always!
i love how into history brian is. you can really see his passion for strength sports whenever he talks about strength history
Awesome road-trip thanks for taking us along.
Bryan. I love that your able to do what you love and make money doing it man. I’ve been trying the twitch thing lately and I’ve got to say, it’s much harder than it looks. So shout out to your editors/yourself/ supporters/ wife. Much love to ya brother!
Hey Brian! I love your content and videos! Thanks for sharing so much with us. Heads up to your video editor: The sound level between Brian talking and the music scenes is pretty extreme. I have to raise and lower my volume consistently on the videos. Cheers and happy 2023!
What a unique addition to an already incredible gym! Great to see you so happy Brian! I'd love to come take them for a (very gentle) test drive! 😅💪
Awesome sets of dumbbells. Love your enthusiasm as ALWAYS

Apparently, the Shaw Classic will be Brian's last formal competition, so I'm a bit puzzled that he continues acquiring dumbbells and machines. And I'd think he'd welcome chances to eat a variety of foods from here and there. Maybe he's planning to try boxing and sumo wrestling, like Eddie Hall.

Brian is such an inspiration. Considering I’m getting back into working out, he shows that anything is possible if you put your mind to it. Even though I’m not planning to be a power lifter yet, he is still inspirational to get fit and at least get to the average point.😁
@jd9119
Жыл бұрын
Instead of planning to be a powerlifter, why not plan to be a champion power lifter? The only person who can tell you "no" is you. So set your goal high and break that goal down in to smaller goals and then break those goals down to ones you can achieve (IE increase your bench 5lbs this week). The thing I love about training (and I've been training since I was about 13) is that it's all up to you to see how far you go. You'll have injuries, plateaus, feel like you just don't want to train today or have a cheat day on your diet, but if you work through all that, you'll get the results you want and nobody can take it from you.
@coco_branchflower

Yes, def get more old time strength memorabilia and equip! Love it!

Brian, you are really one of the most wholesome guys.
2 favorite parts of this vid brian, first seeing how genuinely happy you are getting that set. And second was watching your kids "help" move that equipment 😂 just like my youngest
The gym at my college I went to had a set of the old globe dumbbells. They have a very different feel. Some lifts you have to change a little to accommodate the different shape, and they seem heavier than other styles of dumbbells. Congrats on the full set, such an amazing addition to your gym.
Great addition to an already amazing gym!
You definitely got your hands on a couple great sets of vintage dumbells. You should be able to find a proper set of 40s to complete the round head set without too much trouble.
