    although i wouldn't take what he does as an actual test of how good something is for things like that protector and for the face protection stuff cause realistically he is shooting at them way within any airsoft fields no shoot limit and therefore these types of tests are not very valid .. especially with the high powered airsoft guns hes using at that close of range he would be booted off the field real quick ..

    Okay, the ballistic knife is actually super cute, and surprisingly practical that you dont need to retrieve the blade after. If only it was spring powered to not use so much gas on a passable gimmick. And dont skimp on frace protection, mesh will not stop BB fragments/dust from going into your eyeballs!

    Those masks are fine to wear as long as you then wear proper safety glasses behind them. Bisons (great work glasses, come in like 15-20 packs and average $1-2 a pair fantastic protection and can't beat the price great coverage from most angles, if they will stop a nail/staple/brad at 120psi+ they will stop an airsoft bb)

  • @RickGoemans
    @RickGoemans8 ай бұрын

    About the bb protector, you see it a lot on the field in The Netherlands from my experience. Most people buy one but replace the “glass” later one after some games of eventually breaking with a polycarbonate variant which is basically unbreakable with the 1.2J with 0.3G BBs max rule for rifles (2.3J with 0.3G BBs max for snipers with minimum shooting distance of 25meter).

    @@Liqudstormz I just bought a red dot for my rifle (Vortex Crossfire - 180 euro) and my pistol (Vector Optics Frenzy - also around 150 euro if I remember correctly) which have VIP warranty that includes shot out replacement service. Luckily never had to use it since (got them around 6 months now so fielded them like 8 times) but if it’s true I can really recommend them for that reason. Especially since most decent red dots are 40-80 euro and I’ve had mine shot out 3 times or had problems with finding replacement protective caps resulting in buying another one

    This is for future refrence btw Be absloutly careful when buying laser pointers becuse 99% of the time they are often stupidly over powered and they can blind pepole also some lasers are sold with adjustable lenses called star cap which split up the main beam into smaller beamlets however a powerful laser can still be a eye hazard even if the beamlet only has 1/3 of its orignial power

  • @DVNGXR

    Just commented the same thing before I saw this. That lazer is only around 40-80mw, which isn't crazy but it's still way over the 5mw limit that allows your eyes to blink before taking serious damage. And you can just as easily find lazers that are 3000mw online, which can permanently damage your eyesight or blind you from just looking at the dot on a wall. So if wag or anyone else plans on buying any/anymore lazers it's important to understand lazer safety, buy goggles and treat them with the utmost care and caution like you would a firearm.

    RE that mesh protector mask. It may look like it held up and your eyes would be safe, but look closer at the INSIDE. 16:43 you show the inside of the mask. Look where it is dented from the bbs hitting. It is shiny - because the metal and the paint on the inside has come loose. And where would that metal and paint go? Into what is behind it - ie your EYE BALL. If you were wearing that mask, your eye would be mince.

    Careful with that lazer. Cheap lazers can be dangerously powerful. That one in particular isnt crazy strong, its probably somewhere between 40-80mw. But its still dangerous. Regular lazer pointers are less than 5mw, at that power your eyes have time to blink before they take any serious damage, anything more than 5mw can blind or cause vision damage before youre eye has time to blink. You should really have lazer safety goggles to operate any lazer over 5mw. Now 40-80mw isnt ridiculous (you can easily buy 3000mw lazers, that will blind or damage your eyes just looking at the dot on a wall), but its still powerful enough to cause permenant eye damage from a direct hit, or full reflection(like a mirror or glass), so it needs to be treated like a firearm. And if you decide to buy any more powerful lazers, do some research and buy goggles. Edit; if anyone wants a lazer like that but better I would reccomend a green 532nm lazer 303. It should be the same price as this one(another edit; by the same price i meant $5-10, which is how much the laser in the video should cost do not pay more than like $15, holy shit he got scammed so hard), but its surprisingly good quality. They're around 60-100mw. Obviously very dangerous and needs to be treaten with caution and safety.

    I would not say it is a fail for the protector. The purpose is to not have this happen to the optics. It is extremely rare to get the optics shot out - and it would save it from that one bb that would have otherwise hit the glass inside. But if it was expensive then it is most definitely a failure :D

    I used to have a gas blowback pocket pistol, based on the colt 25 thingy. It was the funniest and most unique thing and as a challenge I would run out onto the field with just that. Every kill felt so rewarding and funny. Sadly it fell out of my chest rig pocket when I was using my rifle and I never was able to find it :'(. Also those sight protectors are usually a one time use item, the one I got came with several replacement plastic shields that can be replaced. The odds of actually hitting the sight in the first place are low. When it breaks it still deflects the bb away from the sight at which point you should probably go back to the ready up area and replace it. Also for shot counter, try out the xcortech x3300w. It has a built in ammo counter, chrono, and tracer unit and the sensor looks like a suppressor. I love it and still use it all the time.

    I know its not quite what the Destiny revolver has, But it made me think of an airsoft revolver with a reloadable cylinder. My biggest gripe with most airsoft revolvers is they have so few shots, making them not really practical. But if you had a reloadable cylinder that you could fill with a good amount of BB's, that would be awesome.

    I mean, that is basically what Austringer has, actually. The Magazine is filled with liquid Glimmer (a type of Programmable Matter). The internals of the gun convert the Glimmer into rounds that depend on the gun that's making them.

    At the range you were at when you broke the bb shield, yah it will break. Id adjust the bb counter, but that one is a decent idea. Airsoft knife, take the blade off & use it for scenario games. The helmet was taking close range damage at full auto, will that be the case when in a game? I've never seen it.

    Really enjoyed this clip, to be fair, the fake desert locusts held up well, if someone lit me up like that at that range, i'd boot them up the hole. Not a stealth kill.

    Dang. Was hoping the Austringer was an actual airsoft one. Kinda thought it WOULD be, since it's listed in an airsoft video, but oh well. Great video, loved seeing that "sight protector" disintegrate when shot.

    The tic-tac gun looks more like something you can use to pass them out in an interesting way rather than just handing the box to someone you shot it at them.
