I had guessed 500 for the sparkplugs so it almost felt like a bargain until they weren't the right ones.

I was thinking 50 each, so less than you but still more than the actual cost. In my defence I have never had to go buy a sparkplug so don't know what they normally cost.

I have no idea what that’s supposed to sound llike, however, to look at it? It’s gorgeous. Congratulations on your win.

Oh dear. At least the tires go round and round. A wrench symbol, oh my. I had a 63 Buick la sabre with 410 wildcat engine. There was enough room under the hood to have a dance. You didn't have to disassemble the entire car to change a plug. However I had a car where it had to be put on a lift to change the back plugs. If (enganeers) had to work on this it would be designed a lot differently. It is a nice car though. Good luck.

I hope that you are right about the spark plugs! When I first heard it run, I thought it needs a tune up. The spark plugs are bad. Crossing my fingers for you! Even if it is more things wrong, you bought the car that you want and you will fix it! Over here in the US, we have our Corvettes and 5 Fireos to have fun with. They have had alot of restoration too. Sweet!

Congrats Phl!!! I was close I said Ferrari lol I was half right though. That would be my first thought a tune up, spark plugs and oil, maybe wires they can be faulty too at the connections. I had a Maserati convertible in Alaska, where the mean temperature is 65 degrees. I had the top off 2 times. It was so cool! ( Ha, literally!) Everybody thought I was a dumb female! They kept telling me it was a corvair! Like, really!😂 It was, but I sure had fun telling everyone it was a Maserati.

Ah the 4 door, a really nice car when maintained well and working.

Love the new project Phil - very classy. Know the feeling of incorrect parts: recently changed the CV joint on my car. Having taken it all apart, disabling the car, I discovered that the supplied part was not the same and would not fit. Had to order the correct part, but here in rural france things take 5 business days to arrive - no next day deliveries here.

Love the sound. As a certified Red-neck, I have a Hemi Ram. The dealer wanted to charge me $800 for plugs alone. Paid less than two and my son and I did them and the coils, 16 plugs and 8 coils. Four and eight were a pain. Love the sound. Best luck in getting it purring.

Thanks! That one is a 2013 model which is basically a Chrysler underneath but mine is 2009 and designed under Ferrari’s ownership so very different or would have been very useful!
