Don't know if you have Lidl or Adli supermarket's in the US, but I buy their parkside brand. You're about £35 for the drill and battery. Amazing value and does for most jobs. They have an entire tool line that uses the same 20V batteries. I still have my 240v DeWalt circular saw for proper jobs, but it's great value.

I bought one of these for general and basic DIY jobs around the house and it blew me away how good it is.

For not being a tool review, I enjoyed the tool review ;-). Nice to know if you occasionally use a 2nd drill this is a contender. Question: Would you consider doing "Non-Reviews" on micro sized tools, Mini table saw, drill press, coping saw or lathe? Not everyone needs to cut 8 foot long 2 x 4's or rip up 4 x 8 foot seets of 3/4 baltic birch. I work on small boxes for electronic projects and like the look of wood over 3d printing. Small retro game cabinets, portable lab power supplies, amateur radio digital and blinky things for the grandkids. Are there smaller power tools for this?

I bought a set of those brushes a few weeks ago. If I had known I could have got a drill with them at this price...

I bought one before rarely use today after two years I pull the trigger and the whole house smell like an electrical shortage or a thunder had strike, the drill still spin but the smell

IF you bought a drill and didn't need to use it for 2 yrs, you don't need a drill!

this video just shows that you need to by a drill (or anything) to your budget and your usage! IF you are on a low budget you get a cheap drill! IF you only need a drill for a few jobs a year then get a cheap drill

This is America I assume, just buy the most expensive drill possible and return it after you finish the job!

Panasonic had a _seconds_ company under the name Palsonic. That company sold Panasonic items that had come off the production line and needed some fix of some sort and because of that they could no longer be sold a a new Panasonic product. Hence the Palsonic name and they were able to sell a perfectly working item and not sully the Panasonic name if the item failed and stopped working. I purchased a lot of Palsonic products and can't ever remember having an issue with them. This drill may be the _Palsonic_ of the Powersmart drill's parent company and not up to the high quality with poor joins in the shell or a gear that doesn't engage smoothly then instead of scrapping the tool or spending more time than it is financially worth they just rebrand it under their "seconds" company name and sell it under a different name for a smaller profit and may even claim it as a tax write off. ?🤷‍♂ Mitsubishi electronic also had their own "Palsonic" and it was called Diamond _something_ (can't remember the rest of the full name, Diamond Data maybe?). A scratched TV case or a resoldered component and it was rebadged from Mitsubishi to Diamond _something._ The diamond name tied in with the Mitsubishi diamond logo. Of course I may be totally wrong and I am full of 💩. 🤦‍♂

I don't know much about Powersmart but it seems like they are primarily an outdoor tool company. They are based in the US and their parent company Amerisun Inc, doesn't even have a website, so who knows.

You might want to consider something that does not use electricity

Just for the fact that the bits come loose, and the extended amount of time that charging is needed takes away the merit that it as enough power for the job. In my opinion, this is not worth the time and effort.

I don't know what to tell you - I'm drilling with a drill bit at both of those time stamps. The first is a countersink bit and the second is a forstner bit. @@mracer8

I actually got the DNYKER drill kit on Amazon. It was $36.99 and you could use a 40% off coupon. Then I used my some of my Amazon rewards points from my Amazon credit card. So all said and done. I actually got a drill kit for 77 cents.

i buy expensive drills so my friends think i'm cool.

I agree, that's the same reason I have a MacPro on my desk and a John Deere for my 1/10 acre front yard! oh, did I mention about the Sub-zero refrigerators in my 500 sq-ft condo!! Look really cool!
