Maybe you should try to upgrade some of the parts on the laptop, Such as the SSD and the RAM, But before you try to get into any upgrades, I recommend you check the processor because if it is an i3/ryzen 3 or i5/ryzen 5, Then It is not even considered a gaming laptop. the i7/ryzen 7 is a high end processor and you should get some upgrades if you have this processor. And for the charger heating up, You must always expect the charger to heat up when playing a game, I had one and it blowed up on me and sparks went everywhere, Just be careful because it will short out too.
