I bought a Kawasaki ZX-4RR!

This motorcycle is the 2024 Kawasaki ZX-4RR, 40th anniversary edition. The modifications so far include a Yoshimura AT2 exhaust and TST frame sliders.

    Yes I'm a 52 yr kawi fan. Owned many brands. I sold my 2022 Z900 RS 50th anniversary and put money down on this. The 900 was insanely fast . This gives me a commemorative and four cylinder sound without the 4th gear power wheelie!! I guess it's delayed for updates before sale. This owner shows his bike respect buy breaking it in lightly too. No idiotic free rev limiting. Thanks for great video.

    Steel is not a bad thing. Even steel bicycles are engineered to have a lively ride. Smaller tubing in the right places for flex. Thin wall can be lighter and less bulky. Also less weld cracking in the steering head like the Gixxer 1000. Ride a fine steel bike then ride a stiff aluminum bike. You'll feel it right away.

    It's a beautiful bike congratulations. Kawasaki should have gave it an aluminum frame and it would have got the weight down a lot more. A ZX6R without ABS has a weight of 425 lb and since it is $1,000 under the price of a ZX6R I think that it's something Kawasaki could have afforded to do. Proud owner of a 2019 ZX6R

    @@Hondasaki_Frank Thanks. You are very fortunate to live in an area with some really nice, twisty, flowing back roads. I live in Southern Ontario Canada, and unfortunately everything is pretty straight and unexciting here. The closest thing to a twisty road is a racetrack, which is probably the only option I have. Unfortunately I have zero racetrack experience on a motorcycle. I used to live in Southern California which was driving Nirvana so many amazing Canyon, mountain roads. I weigh 160 lbs. I have not adjusted the suspension, but since I only do road riding I have been considering softening it to absorb those bumps. The biggest con for me would be the comfort level. After an hour of riding, my wrists and my neck start to get uncomfortable. However it is a sport bike, so that is to be expected with the aggressive riding position. It may not be the most practical bike, but it is the most fun bike I've ever owned.

I rode mine for like 4 times and man what a machine its fast for me i am a calm rider but when i turn the throttle wide open it goes. In long corners its verry fun to bring a knee down its verry thirsty with a full tank i can go 200 kilometers. The collors indeed when you stand in front of the bike it really looks cool the wow effect is there.on pictures its not so really thats a shame but it looks crazy good.. The only thing this about it is that i have a bad wife that doesnt let me ride it when i want it 😢 sorry i just have a bad day today man

  • @Hondasaki_Frank

    @Hondasaki_Frank

    2 ай бұрын

    It has a 600 mile break-in period before the first oil change. The owner's manual says to keep the RPMs below 4,000 at first, but that's ridiculous. You'd be lugging the engine at low revs, which is bad for an engine during break-in. I just rode it normally.

    $10399 for a 414 lb bike making 56 horsepower and a fork that only has preload adjust, when for $9199 you can get an R7 that also weighs 414 lbs, but makes 72 horsepower and has a fully adjustable fork. Doesn't make sense to me. When they announced this I was excited, but I assumed it was going to make more power, be lighter, and have higher grade components.
