    How is the wind protection with the stock windscreen? Any drone on the highway with the Yoshimura?

  • @Hondasaki_Frank
    @Hondasaki_Frank18 күн бұрын

    @dougmaverick3287 The windscreen is pretty good for its size. I don't get any buffeting at highway speed. When you tuck down in the pocket it blocks the wind quite well. I'm not really bothered by any drone from the Yoshi, but maybe some riders would be more bothered because it is very loud. At 80mph the engine runs at 8,000 rpms in top gear.

    Frank, which bike do you prefer riding the Ninja 1000 SX or the Ninja ZX 4RR and why? I'm very close to pulling the trigger on a 40th anniversary Ninja ZX 4RR. It will be my first super sport motorcycle. People say to me why don't you go with a ZX6R or ZX10R, but I think they might be just too much motorcycle for me, as it will be my first Super Sport. What do you think?

  • @Hondasaki_Frank
    @Hondasaki_Frank25 күн бұрын

    Well, both bikes have their own strengths and weaknesses. I like the 1000SX for its comfort and near limitless power, but it is big and heavy. I like the ZX-4 for its playful engine and nimble handling, but it gets unbearable to ride for long distances because of the aggressive riding position. The ZX-4 would be a great first supersport bike. It's still got a good amount of power when you wind out the engine and it is an easy bike to ride.

    @@Hondasaki_Frank Frank to be honest with you I'm not sure I'm going to like the leaning forward riding position of the ZX-4RR. I've never ridden one yet, but it's the only 400 series motorcycle sold today with a high revving, inline 4-cylinder, screaming engine. I'd prefer something like the Honda CB400 with its more traditional, upright seating position. Unfortunately those motorcycles were never sold in North America, and they came with a delicious high revving inline 4-cylinder that sound glorious. • @Hondasaki_Frank

    The Yoshi doesn't drone too badly. I always wear earplugs when I ride. It is a very loud exhaust for a slip-on; I think without earplugs your ears would be ringing after a ride. Overall it's a little bit louder than I would like, but it sounds so good! 😉
