Put some vodka and spray bottle and spray those items that stink. It does work wonders. It is a trick that those in the entertainment business, definitely back in the day, used while on the road. And it works.

Sizing spray. It's great for cotton oxford shirts that wrinkle easily. It's funny what people did to jeans. People used to iron everything. My grandma ironed sheets and underwear. Nothing beats a clothesline + time for odors. Vodka first.

My GW added 75% of color tag plus the 50%. Guess their higher prices were cutting into the profits. They need to just lower the prices back down.

First time viewer here! I do think you are talking spray starch that your grandma used. I sure wish we had the cool finds over here in NC that you have there! For stains that are NOT on items that will bleed, I use Restoration Hypoallergenic Powder to soak things. I get a 5lb pail on Amazon and it works wonders, especially to de-stain and whiten whites.

Sizing for ironing. I still use it. Those stiff pants may have been waxed for rain repellent. Some higher end rain wear come waxed then you can send them to the maker to be re waxed when needed. Not sure if they are though. You did good. Lot's of work. Vinegar in the wash removes odors. Softens a little as well.

Your grandma used either spray starch or what they call spray sizing. Venezia is a brand of Lane Bryant. I don't know that they carry it anymore, if not, then it's definitely Vintage Lane Bryant.

This is awesome! Would love to buy one of these one day! Looks so fun! The starch spray! Wow I forgot about that, I used to use it in high school for my uniform, sprayed it on my pleated skirt to keep it intact. Also, sometimes when I don't dry certain jeans in the dryer they get really stiff so maybe try throwing those jeans in the dryer for a few minutes? Also, what is the oder eliminating spray? I found this amazing dress in the bins recently and it smells horrible - I believe its moth balls. I soaked it in some vinegar water but that didn't really work :(
