Remember to try new fuses for things that don’t work, A lot of the time these things just need a new fuse and they are cheap to buy x

Wow! what a refreshing change to see an honest pallet unboxing. My experience was similar to yours and not at all like Roxxysaurus or Emily Canhams. You are so lucky that the Sage coffee machines are in decent condition as they can turn up in bits so you have a chance to make a good chunk of your money back. You also deserve a lot of credit for continuing with the video and it says a lot about your character - most people would have pretended it hadn't happened. I look forward to seeing what happens next! PS is it wrong that I laughed out loud when you put the Miele together upside down!! Wishing you all the luck in the world from nearby Southampton.

Rosie, bless you for being so honest about everything,I can see how upset you must of been, but the smeg toaster might only work if you put bread in it as it can sense, for safety’s sake that it isn’t loaded, so give it a try, you have worked so hard for this, I can understand your fear when things are not wrapped properly, I just can’t believe how people can send things back when not cleaned, but I have hope that you will make a profit, I don’t want you to lose out, your too kind. ❤️

All is not lost with the broken items as someone who wants to buy a good product, and is good at fixing things, could still buy it. Like you, I’m surprised that John Lewis accepted some of those things. You’re a brave woman though😀 You definitely don’t mind getting your hands dirty. Lol. It’s been very interesting and entertaining. I hope you get your money back and more🤞😊

These returns pallets seem to include items that are returned for a number of reasons. So things like the vaccums that turned on and worked, but were used could easily be returned because they decided that they just didn't perform well. Or the customer experienced a drop in performance within the first few uses.

I wouldn’t return anything to a store unless it was faulty … so that alone puts me off buying returns.. the vitamix is brown because it’s used to blend veg for drinks.. I watched another one from John Lewis yesterday…. That was mostly broken items

People can return items if they are faulty, it may have appeared faulty when they returned but something was just stuck and jolted free.

When I worked at a high end department store, we had people purchase items like these at discount elsewhere, then return to our store for refund or replacement. 😒 PS: Vitamix repairs/replaces their blenders for life in most cases. They’re intended to last. I’d recommend contacting them for an inexpensive or free spruce up service.

@@RosieTilley I second that. I've had my Vitamix for 6 years now and they are practically indestructible. You could definitely resell it.

SMEG Toaster Put bread in. On some toasters they will not keep the spring down if it cannot sense the weight of the bread.

The other people that you’ve watched might have had bad pallets before the good ones and not filmed them, I love how varied your vlog are Rosie, you are a hard working you tuber, when I started watching you you had just over a thousand subscribers, it will take time, but believe me you will grow because you are so likeable 🥰❤️🥰❤️🥰

Thank you so much! 💕💕 we’ve be working on fixing things but on the things that aren’t working it doesn’t seem to be the fuses 😔

On the corrale straighteners there’s a little switch thing with arrows on it, you need to pull it out and rotate it so the little arrow is pointing to the house picture and then push it back in.It should turn on then ready to heat up.Hope this helps you.

Best to pile everything back in the box, seal it up and get it back into the sales / auction circuit. There are plenty of mugs out there who will pay good money for this sort of stuff just for the pleasure of opening a surprise box and the unlikely hope of finding something wonderful. This would give the best hope of recovering at least some of your money and save you the hassle of taking most of it to the public skip for responsible recycling. This lot looks like it has done the rounds a few times already.

I’m only half way through but omg these are my fave videos to watch!! Such a shame that so many things were broken😭😭

I am so shocked that this should have been a premium box everything so so dirty , please check to make sure it was the correct one , hubby said to me next time a pallet arrives and sheet wrap has been tampered with refuse delivery .... as you do not know what has happened between warehouse and your home .... let’s keep fingers crossed for you both , but please send an email to John Lewis as they will be very shocked that a third party they have sold to is selling pallets with broken goods on them ..... it’s up to them to sort out the rubbish they get in the truckload they purchase ... thank you for video ... You may just need to change the fuse in the plugs to make these things work

Hi Rosie … I sell on ebay full-time … mostly vintage china but I have sold electrical items that don’t work. Some people will buy them to fix and resell. You’d be amazed at what sells. Hope you at least get your money back. Really enjoyed your video 👍

With the electrical’s try change the fuse it could just be the plug x

Glad you posted this, in a nutshell; buyer beware and prepare to pay tax on top of VAT and even more tax after that! Hope you have better luck next time, if there is a next time!!

You can replace the plug on the bread machine I think. Might be worth finding a handyman to try and fix some of those items. Just an idea. Might still be worth it even after fixing.

The cheek of people returning items after being WELL USED.

Have tried selling items on Facebook or Facebook market place ? My daughter puts items on there, only problem is that a lot of people want items almost giving.

Omg I really feel for you. The Dyson hair straightener see if you can get them repaired at Dyson then you can sell them as refinished, obviously if it's worth it, Dyson would give you a quote on repairs. in fact if anything doesn't work and it's worth being repaired it's refurnished. Also refurnished sounds better than you giving the full explanation of why you are selling. I haven't seen a pallet like this before were alot is in really used condition, the firm should have binned them, it seems the firm is getting greedy. I really hope you get your money back taking into consideration the other pallet may be fab. Good luck.

Also you May want to check fuses some products maybe good but the fuses are gone

Factor in the time it takes you to sort, list and get the items delivered and you might not make that much

You can still sell broken items just make sure you list it as not working, people do buy them to repair or to use spare parts

We got sage touch coffee maker

You can use the vita-blender to make "Will it Blend" videos. One at least. I'd watch.

The Sage coffee machines are terrible or they wouldn't keep turning up on pallets.

Give the smegg toaster another try with bread in…. My toaster handle doesn’t close when empty

Most of these items could probably be easily fixed, new fuses, wiring etc I guess that’s mainly who buys them as they know they can fix them and sell them on

I’m not surprised the items are used, most high end electrical items will have warranties and can be returned if they stop working after a year or two

I can’t believe what it all added up too! 🙈 no so £300 for was both pallets, I realised afterwards that each pallet was just under £150 delivery each 💕💕

That smeg toaster is an old trick. I've seen it alot at my old work. They buy a second hand one then order a new one return there old one keep the new get there money back, then every year or so replace it for a new one.

How much did you pay for all this stuff?

They accept returns up to a year if the product has warranty, sometimes two years hence being used :( I had an air fryer I used for two years and it stopped working and they told me to return under warranty- I hope they are not selling these products on for these pallets that can’t be legal.

Hey, I just had a look and there doesn’t seem to be any premium pallets on there at the moment but they seem to get new pallets in every few days so it’s probably worth keep checking 💕💕

I used to work for John Lewis and never even knew that they got rid of used and broken items this way. How a customer has the nerve to return dirty items to store was beyond me. Some customers are crafty and would return stuff to totally different departs and would get refunds when in reality the actual product department wouldnt have accepted them. I remember bedding coming back up to the department that was still damp from the customer's washing machine - gross.

Looking for the response you received about the delivery condition. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Hello my name is John in some cases some of the products you get it don't work you could actually part out some parts maybe worth a little bit more than what you could sell them for the whole thing in some cases you can sell the parts for more if you have a coffee maker and I don't work you can sell the parts from it or to vacuum cleaner you can sell the parts from the vacuum cleaner in some cases if it's nice and it's good you can always part it hopefully this can help you so you don't have to throw a lot of stuff away

Love these videos but ong how can ppke return very used items? I have Miele and dnt rate them great as mine is 4 yrs old and doesn't work 😒 so I'm bk to Henry hoover lol 😆😂

Honestly I don't think the risk is worth it with these pallets. I have a feeling the companies that load the pallets are skimming the good items and just loading the crap on a pallet. Fair play for trying though.

You were done! You can sell items but your customer can return it to you if there’s a problem. I don’t think it’s going to be worth the hassle. Your extra shipping charges negates any profit too.

Unsure if you're aware that the higher end products thar don't fully work can either be sold for parts or to people who can refurbish. At least you'll make some money back. I would check ebay. ✔️

Sometimes boxes are good sometimes they are not so good. Naturally I’m hoping for a good box, I haven’t complained I’m just being honest in my video about how I feel and if I think it’s worth it.

People return there old items & after they have got a new one of the same.

It is a "returns pallette so the pallette should contain mostly "not working items". People will not know if that item works unless they try to use them.

The Vitamix is very expensive. Just clean it out and keep it!! As for your the total pallet, you got ripped off!! How could they include items that were used and broken? They should have not been included in your purchase! What would someone do with a broken appliance? I would never buy from them again and let them know it!!

It still amazes me how people returns things after that badly used, it’s kind of gross!
