I Bought a BROKEN Xbox One X From eBay...Or So I Thought...I Lost Money - I paid $400 for a "broken" Cyberpunk Special Edition Xbox One X from eBay - but when I tested it...it worked just fine. So I decided to resell the Xbox One X on eBay to show you all how I list items for sale and to see if I could make any money.

Interesting hearing your eBay experiences. I've seen it all too. Had a buyer return an item I sold as "for parts" because they couldn't fix it. Had countless people never pay. Had even more dispute the product after winning trying to get a better price. I've had far too many bad experiences that now I'm sticking to local listings.

Yep, I hear stories like that from all over. The only reason eBay is still around is because they have such a large user base. It sucks that any buyer can rip off any seller if you know how to get around the rules.

i sold a switch last year for almost $50 less than the going price at the time. immediately after it sold, the buyer messaged me asking if i would throw in some games for free. i declined and sent it to him and shortly after, he opens a claim that it was broken, water damaged, whole ten yards and asked for a 50% refund or he threatened negative feedback. i declined so he gave me negative feedback and wouldn't you know it, a week later, it was listed on ebay (serial number confirmed) for the full going price and none of the issues he claimed to have were listed.

People are like that, generally stupid lazy and incredibly dense. I have sold a lot of stuff and pride myself in the attention to detail I put in my ads, primarily to spare me the questioning of all the obvious things. Despite my effort, there's always someone who will just ignore whatever I wrote and proceed by asking me things that are already answered in the ad. I usually reply "read the ad" because the alternative is "are you illiterate?

@@Tomazack I just don't reply at all, in the hope that they'll go away instead of buying the item. If I answer, and they buy it, they're likely to be a pain in the butt later too. My favorite is the "will you accept (drastically lower price) for the item?" message. Do you notice that there was no "make an offer" button on my listing? That's because I'm not willing to accept anything but what I listed the item for. That, and because letting people make offers means they can sit on the offer, claiming they're going to buy it without actually checking out and paying for it. Same problem as auctions - people win and then just don't pay, so I'm stuck waiting around to relist. I refuse to do either anymore: everything gets listed buy it now and the seller must pay immediately.

@@Tronicsfix I think it's still surprising because there isn't a very good reason for it. There were less than 50 words in the description, where it clearly states 'console only' and even spells out what that means in greater detail (no controller or cables). Then the buyer has the audacity to say that they can't tell if it comes with cables from the description because it's too vague, but the description literally says "no controller or cables". From what I saw, there also weren't any pictures of cables in the posting.

No i personally only sell items that won't sell locally, i sold a oem Carplay Navigation for a nissan about 6 months or so, but the buyer complained she wasn't able to install it because it required some wiring, then she opens a case, and ebay sides with me because i stated in the description no buyers remorse and professional installation required and ebay closes the case, And now 2 weeks ago she made a request to her bank that i sold her an item not as described and paypal went ballistic to me, they asked for proof and all, i sent them, and now they said it could take 75 days to resolve the issue. But the funny part is that PAYPAL Has the Case "Open" yet they want me to pay them for the item Even thought ebay once sided with me, and they said if i don't pay them i could go to collections and i really want to sue them for their unfair practices.

I’d love to be a fly on the wall in the life of a buyer like that. How do they get through a day. Just how literate are they. Through which orifice do they primarily breathe. Are they really this stupid, or do they merely appear to be for some tactical reason.

Hi! I´m new to your channel and i´m already loving it :). Also like people usually point out in your videos is that you are dead honoust about what´s on your mind etc. and that is something i respect a lot. You and i are same on this. I usually tell people the truth about things about them whatever they like the outcome or not but they always say that they appreciate the honesty. That should be the way to live by, right :) ?

Only $25 in fees? Last item I sold on ebay I got charged 12%, what a rip. I remember the days of 2% fees, back when you could actually flip stuff on eBay for a profit. Great video!

Interesting video ... I’m sure you know that you can choose to limit your buyers to be folk with a certain amount of positive feedback already on the eBay. Obviously it reduces your potential client base but might be worth it for items very likely to sell anyway.

i sell a lot on ebay and i agree, when someone ask so many questions after the purchase is gonna be a problem, or will ask for partial refund or just send u back the item not working anymore for some odd reason than u test it and it works, the worst was when i sold a router and the guy used it for 2 weeks while waiting for his network router to arrive, than returned the old router coz "not working as intended" lol

I am a new seller on Ebay. I too sell refurbished/ restored electronics and I learned very quickly that it’s extremely difficult for a new user like me ( who has little feedback) to sell anything at all. Between having no feedback and people trying to scam me, using eBay can be very frustrating. If anyone in this comments section knows a better way to sell things please let me know or give some advice.
