I Bought A BROKEN Buick LeSabre For ONLY $300 But IT'S NICE

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

A few months ago I bought this 1996 Buick LeSabre for $300, but wasn't able to go pick it up. It had been parked after replacing the starter because it broke again immediately after. I assumed the new starter failed and it would just need a new part, but a quick test proved the starter was fine. It will take some more troubleshooting but the fix may be much easier and cheaper than replacing the starter. At least it's powered by the most reliable engine EVER built!

Most were originally bought by older folks, are optioned to the max, have relativity low mileage and were garage kept. That is actually a '97 LeSabre despite the early build date. GM really deviated from the new model year starting in September at times. I had a 2005 Park Avenue that was actually made in March or April of 2004 and all '05 production ended in May or June of '04 and the 1996 B-Bodies had an extended model year up until December of '96.

Late comment: These Lesabre cars were awesome love these rides and style when was a little kid back in '93 pictured myself driving one of these still see some in my neighborhood Lesabre/Delta 88/Bonneville were my favorite GM cars of the early and late nineties. The 3800 engines were very dependable also like the bigger Lesabre from mid-eighties. I grew up on Buicks my aunt had Park Avenues than Roadmaster which was last Buick she drove until late 2000s, love the 80s Lesabre from 1986-91 love those ornament hoods. I'm glad you saved the Lesabre definitely got you something these cars are very reliable, think had a brochure or not can't remember sure miss old Buicks like these when Buick had it going on back in the old days.

A few years ago a co-worker gave me their white 1992 Park Avenue in similar condition that had sat on the company lot for years. I replaced the battery to get it to start and run and then spent a weekend detailing and fixing some issues. Everyone who had seen it before was impressed how nice it looked and ran when I drove it back to work next week. The 3800 Buick V6's are the smoothest engines ever, pulling these big W-body land yachts around surprisingly quick if you stomp on the gas. It became a semi-daily driver because the heater/AC controls were flaky and a broken crank sensor kept causing the car to stall. I sold it for $1600 to a friend that needed a bigger car.

I grew up in Iowa and there seemed to be an unwritten law. You could own more than one vehicle but one of them had to be a Buick. All the farmers had one, my dad had 2. The engine in them (provided you change the oil and take care of them) are bulletproof. Best engine GM ever made. Green video

I usually cut back the rubber on those battery terminals, you'd be amazed how much corrosion is hiding under there. I was replacing the end on my Tahoe because I was installing 00 Ga and I couldn't believe I never had problems, the wire was totally green under the rubber.

That's a late 90's buick. Since they changed the headlights, Tailamps, And they moved the glovebox to fit a passenger airbag. Nice buy.

I paid $200 for my 97 Lesabre. Invested $1000 in parts, and it's been a great vehicle!!

I love buicks and loved my Lesabre...I had a 96 in dark cherry metallic with red... bought it because it had the series II motor and the old styling (yours is a 97) becareful for subframe rot, it will kill the car if not then care of and salt nd dirt collects at the mounts on the engine cradle...

I just bought a 200 dollar solara. I put new tires on it and greased the brakes and we’re are driving smooth. Did I mention the rebuilt transmission 15000 miles ago.
