I’ve just had to subscribe quality stuff. I’ve just bought my first crash damage at 18. Whilst learning mechanic’s at college. Experienced many obstacles as I’m close to being finished and close to listing it.

This is just like my Audi TT - every nut and bolt on the subframe had to be heated, cut or drilled out. I would get some MAPP gas to make life easier next time 😉

Please buy a can of WD-40 and drown the bolts the night before and they should come off easy. Also invest in a hot spanner and you’ll have no problems. Think it would have been best to drop the subframe because you could have taken into the garage and seen everything wrong with it instead of struggling on the ground under the car. Keep going though lad it’s slowly coming together!

some you win some you loose. atleast its content i suppose. and yes, as someone said use penetrating fluid, never just attack old/rusty bolts dry, its cringe when watching these other youtubers not use their common sense and blast everthing with wd/double tt/gt85. gt85 is cheap enough like 4 x400ml cans for 13 quid or thereabouts on ebay.

am not sure how you struggled so badly with a pair eccentric bolts but to see you brute force them arb bolts i am far from surprised your only going to achieve rounding nuts or snapping heads off very poor practice and wasted time and cost on things that a simple spray penetrating solvent and a hand tool 1st would solved or if your going to be as lazy as shown at least run in and out a few times to attempt unfreeze the threads

@@JustbeingHayden no problem where you located and did not matter if they was rusty or not you just kept trigger pulled till something was going to give either the multi spline bit the bolt head or what you was hoping most for it to just remove bolt pretty poor practices as to showing others how repairs are carried out knowledged or not maybe learn to use tools properly and you wouldnt be wasting extra effort time and money on a project that seems to be heading towards costing more than a non damaged one

@@JustbeingHayden Maybe you should just do what the other youtubers do and loosen them off camera then record them coming off easily lol, You will never keep everyone happy, And anyone that has every been lying underneath older cars knows its never as easy as " a simple spray penetrating solvent and a hand tool" Keep this content going Malcolm , your showing the real problems that come with fixing the damaged cars.. not over editing to make it look easy ..

@@moneywaiter4857 i have plenty experience in motor trade i use to break cars for living and make good profit from them i rarely had to take such extremes to remove bolts in alot worse conditions and while not damage the parts that where to be sold some even from accident damaged vehicles and historic vehicles that had lived in fields for years ive restored vehichles also and the extremes shown in this video could been very easily avoided with common sence and bit more care at the job in hand i just thought that it was maybe best to point out the flaws he caused for himself in haste to remove things and could been avoided just my 2 cents but 20 yrs working on cars on the side road / on floor no ramp and minimal tools alot of the time but ya carnt tell the ignorant can you rather jus reply in a cocky manner instead bad creator ethics that is wont gain followers doing such things like that i would quite happily go to help him and show him how to approach things and save alot wasted energy time and money i have no issues with that one bit for someone who is repairing vehichles that he is most likely goin to then sell on it should be repaired in a appropriate manner and not without any mechanical knowledge it scares me who could end up next owner from poor workmanship
