I would definitely change the suspension leg, normally if you have hub damage or lower arm damage then 100% the leg would be bent. just remember if you change the leg you might have to have wheel alignment again, as you're altering the suspension. With the amount of damage on the undercarriage, I'll be very surprised if there isn't any subframe damage that you might not have noticed, it's so easy to miss something when you're just using a jack and axle stands. That Audi had a hell of a wack, parts for these cars are an absolute nightmare, It took me ages sourcing the parts, Stick with it bud I'm sure you'll get there, The trick is don't rush, it takes as long as it takes, as long as it's repaired safely, Im sure subscribers can wait for the videos, all the best

Just an idea for once this car/series has finished and you buy another car to overhaul. I think the way you should structure your videos is as follows. Ep1- the big reveal of what car you get. Ep2- a full video of all the known issues and the costs of replacement parts. Ep3 and therforth replacing the parts. (Don't post the 1st video until you have received all the parts needed to complete the rebuild) then your also 2 video's ahead of yourself so while you're posting them on a set day weekly you could have a week off if you wanted and no one would ever know 😅 set day per week would get more people tuned in to your videos. Just an idea for you and there is no criticism in that at all I rate you 🤙

try gsf car parts for the top mount bearing, when i was fitting my coilovers i needed a new top mount bearing but they were only showing the bearing as part of a new top mount so i gave them a call and they managed to get me one seperatley

I'm sure when I sorted my written off car that if its got a mot before the car is written off its invalid and you have to get another before the cars aloud back on the road.i lost 11 months mot on mine

I’m sure it is just a normal A1 top mount same as the S1. Just buy x2 from VW change both fronts. Cheap. Change the subframe stretch bolts aswell just for piece of mind and then call it a day and paint it 🎉

Keep it up,working your normal job you only have so many hours for cars. Clean it all,bit of sandpaper and use say hammerite in a can or spray on as will look better for m.o.t

@@JustbeingHayden we was lowering mine then finally last shock then bang that happen so all apart again was off the road for 2 days due to getting the shock ect maybe take the shock off and take it the shop for them to put a thread on maybe or just try a new nut and send it 😂

I don't think it is wise to take on a 3rd car to repair. Get these two sorted out and one of them moved on. Youll end up giving yourself too much to do and never get anything finished.

I'd have thought if it was mapped out then it wouldn't keep telling you it was unavailable. It would be worth finding out. I don't know anything about the stop/systems, other than there is usually a button to turn it off.

Normally stop/start fault is if battery was dead and is still low, starter issue or clutch issue. It happened to my Mazda 2, luckily was just the battery that needed charging and it worked straight after

@@JustbeingHayden My Mazda 2 same issue. Got it as salvage. Tool 5months to fix and I had to replace the subframe as well ( bolt on ). After it was finished, drove it for a week and then the stop/start was working correctly. I'm sure yours is the same. Good luck and you'll get there..👍
