I bet no one thought they'd see me run one of these.

I'm hoping it's not an issue, I'm trying to upload videos more consistently instead of as things occur. As a result posting may be days later but events are in order as occurring. I hope this isn't an issue.

If I was farming thay field I would work up the corners and plant the short rows. Harvesting short rows isn't as big of a deal as with a pull type chopper or picker. You're going to have some overlap on at least one spot in a field no matter what unless you have row shutoffs or skip it and leave big bare areas

I'll admit this, my truck doesn't have a key

I know this sounds stupid but I would check the battery on that truck. They do some strange stuff when the battery gets a little weak. Flashing headlights, honking horn, unlock and locking the power locks, rolling windows down, won't shut off engine, starting on it's own. It's like the computer starts getting power surges and does the first thing that comes back into memory, If the battery load tests good % then I would check the key switch module.

I'll check it to that. This is the second battery I've put in since I bought it. It acted like this once a couple years ago but was only trying to start but wasn't. I don't remember if it was but might have been about the time just before the battery went.

I have a truck similar to yours, a 2012 1500 Silverado which I have had battery issues with as well. I bought it used 5 years ago and it had a battery that was 6 or 7 months old and it only lasted a year! I replaced the battery and it is still in it after 4 years which it is a Deka which was identical to the one that I had in it when I bought it. I have Sirius XM in the factory radio in the truck that I am subscribed too with a CD player. I never used the CD player until I had the truck a couple years then I tried it. It worked fine but after I ejected a CD the unit would randomly try to kick out a CD even though there wasn't one in there even if the truck was not running without the key in it. I had to jump it one morning so I stuck a CD in the unit and left it in there and I have not had any other issues. I could have bought another radio unit but this works just fine as maybe your radio is running your battery down like it did on mine.

Someone else commented about the battery may be going bad. This is the second battery I've put in since I bought it. A couple years ago I had a similar issue where it was trying to start but wasn't with on on inside it. I don't remember for sure but it might have been the same time frame and it might be an indication the battery is going again.

Ghost must’ve wanted your truck or maybe it’s the truck version of Christine 😂. Probably a short or something. I had a 1500 Silverado ab the same year and it had a bunch of electrical issues. My dodge is the same way. I really liked that tractor and disk set up but imagine the wiring nightmare that is. Gotta love vehicles 🤦‍♂️. Wish we could go back to the days of linkages and simplicity

Mid to late 90s was the best for tractors and trucks, simple and reliable.

This has been hay over 60 years. It has been getting weedier over the years, especially golden rod and occasionally just brush hogged. Several years I've baled it for bedding. (That's why I know the wet spots in it) The guy I'm doing this for doesn't need or mess with hay and I don't need the bedding. There really isn't anyone else around that wants this hay and by disking it in will help it break down and the nutrients to get back into the soil for whatever crop he plants there.

Weather forecasting has really become problematic, in my opinion. They seem less sure about things than ever before, where you'd think it should be getting more accurate. I've never driven a Ford or New Holland tractor, nor one with duals.

Weather man, the only job you can be completely wrong and still have a job. 🤣 They're nice but I'll stick to my pre 2000 equipment. If something happens at least I have a chance at being able to afford to repair it.

This neighbor does do no till. He doesn't do actual vertical tillage but has an aerator implement he run to loosen the soil some. He only has these disks for jobs like this to break up the root mass. This field has been hay at least 60 years. To do anything on this it's got to be opened up and chopped to help dry, air out, and loosened up to be able to cover the seed.
