Initially I found that so dumb, but honestly as time went on I grew to appreciate this point the most. It’s just so over the top, crazy, and dumb, that it just works. It’s almost like a comedy in that regard, and it just embraces the insanity, and I can respect that brashness.

Theses movies have no right to be as good as they are, they shouldn’t work, they should be cringey cash grabs that use way to much product placement and big name celebrities to sell, and yet it’s ok that they do kinda do that for me cause they’re so fun, Dwayne Johnson’s character in theses films is one of my favourite rolls of his, and it honestly makes me feel like I’m 12 again watching a superhero movie with all the action and explosions, and Paul’s send off honestly had me in tears cause they could of just tried to ignore his death or just write him out off screen, but you feel in that scene they’re genuinely upset that he died and wanted to give him a proper farewell for his character, it honestly felt like the actors saying good bye to their friend instead of just writing him out.

The thing they embrace the fact they are cashgrabs Most cashgrabs take an already existing universe and ruin it for money,ruining fans expectations (like a starwars fan gettinf shoved the last trilogy wich was esentially a 2 hour toy comercial per movie) Fast and furious built a universe from thw ground up for being a entertain focused setting,no one goes to watch fast and furious because it deep themes,but for fun explosions And fast and furious has actually become skilled at its porpuse (a action packed movie for unbelievable stunts and figths) In a nutshell: since the 4th movie fast and furious is about overtop action,and has embraced that identity wholly

You know, one of the main complaints I've heard about Hobbs and Shaw is that Shaw killed Han in one movie and in the next one he's besties with all the good guys. That whole thing is weird to look back on since Han has returned to the franchise. So in Fast 7 was there even a body in the coffin for Han's funeral scene? Dom went to Tokyo to "bring back Han" but if he was alive all along then how was Dom able to confirm that he was actually dead....unless he knew!

Statham, Diesel and the Rock have contract clauses that control how many times they are allowed to be punched in order to protect their toughness. Statham specifically has a contract clause that he is not allowed to lose a fight, story structure be damned.

Yeah, it really does change your perspective a bit. You see all this ridiculous crap in live action and you're like "Wtf this is stupid, that'd be impossible," but then if you just consider this live action anime it's like, "Oh...this is dope."

Fast and Furious is the kind of movie series that I can watch while doing an assessment and not miss a damn thing while writing up 2500 words.

I always love it when Tash does that sort of thing at the end where it sounds like a commercial or an automated message, she’s really good at it.

the key difference is adaptation, most adaptations in general are already in a losing position, when your live action anime is initially live action you can only go up

The shot of all the cars just falling out of the sky and it cuts to the drivers that look like everything is going all to plan made me lose it

I just found your channel yesterday and have been binging your videos like a maniac, I absolutely love your content and the way you critique things. Fast and furious is one of my favorite series and when you said “this is disgusting I love it” about the fast five logo that completely sums up why these movies are so enjoyable. The way you deliver jokes is so perfect and I’ve cackled multiple times watching your videos which is pretty rare for me. Nice job man

The first three movies the characters are still using Hamon. F4 is when Stands are introduced.

Fast'n'Furious is honestly just the ''higher'' budget version of Sharknado without the sharks. Rest is practically the same...

As someone who loves car culture i sometimes struggle to enjoy these movies. But they’re basically superhero movies but the cars are an extension of the character and their powers. Plus some of the designs are super rad. Like Doms charger they dropped out of the air plane was running on a trophy truck suspension which is beyond cool.

I usually agree will agree with Marcus on his opinions on movies but not this one, as a car enthusiast, I cannot enjoy these new movies cause they just become generic action movies and keep moving away from car culture. Even though some the action is pretty cool they forget about the most important aspect about fnf which are the cars and the cars used to be iconic and like characters in the movie, but now there just props for another action scene. Well, car guys are the minority and can’t be catered to keep the franchise going. At least other people got what they wanted.
