I said maybe Wednesday at this point it means definitely not Wednesday but 100% no more excuses or delays the build of version 1, 2, and 3 will be released on Friday by 8pm. I want this to be the most definitive guide to foot controls AND to showcase my latest version. I had to order some different parts which is one reason for the delay,. I am still getting the hang of filming and tried using a chest cam and head cam, but I have neck and back issues and after reviewing I realized I move a lot due to aches and pains, and the footage made get motion sickness. SO I will be re-shooting the footage with stabilized fixed camera angle(s). Lastly and I know this is hard to believe, but I have a full time job and a KayachtWife that occaisonally wants me to do stuff other than fishing and KZread.. As such, I do my editing at night and I am learning on the fly it just takes time to get it looking good. I did a discussion video first where I talk about the different types of foot controls, go over the majority of parts and tools needed and wanted to release as one big long video, but I will release that tomorrow after I finish some editing on it tonight. So you have that to look forward to while waiting for Fridays step by step by step video! I am excited to get this released and out there so I have set a firm deadline for Friday. If the edit and footage isn't up to par, I will go live and demonstrate it that way. Either way Friday by 8pm it will be out!

Version 1 would have worked better if the peg was on top, and what I found was I had to have the circle spacers for the wheels on top vs the nut versions. They are smaller, and when the down force is applied they dont contact the rail. We also found the thicker gantry plate doesn't bend compared to the larger ones that are thinner. The couple we have out for testing seem to be holding up well. Funny thing we both seem to have started down thus journey at the same time 🤣🤣 I'm just trying to find something to hold up to these nk300s for my customers nothing on the market really works well. The flex on the wall is also pretty normal on the titan xs and I bet you will see a fix in the next generation

Great info, I will incorporate this knowledge into my Final Build Video on this topic. I will of course give credit where credit is due. I didn’t have issues with the larger plate bending ..yet.. it is def thinner. We probably both saw Greg’s video at the same time, I have been working it since his first video that had them a couple months ago, tons of trial and error and R&D, wish I had a team to help but so far just me :) The NK300 is a great motor but the torque is super strong, I think we have found the best solution, for now at least! Thanks for the comments and the lessons learned. Greatly appreciated!

interesting, of course you change it up after i order everything . Bigger bearings would make sense, i might have to do some shopping see what i can't find. I don't think there's any way to get away from the flex on the walls just do to the amount of torque. Im going to finish putting mine together this week, ive been taking it out with the native steering just finding more and more reason not to like it tho

It was not on purpose for sure haha I just keep thinking what makes it better. Also Amazon has a great return policy, I would take advantage, but remember you need at least one of the smaller gantry plates and bearings for the underside. And hopefully you saw the v slot rails are now recommended, I did not know there was a difference to be honest, I got it working with the t slot just fine.

Did u have to drill the pegs onto the gantry? I noticed my screws are to big for the holes for my gantry to get to my peg for my peg

@@Captobvious100 yes I used a countersink drill bit to do that, it was part of the lost footage, which is why I need to just get busy and shoot the last foot controls video I hope to make haha

I am making the video that this one was supposed to be, it will be a step by step by step, just give a week, hopefully less. I promise it will be the most comprehensive and final video I do on this topic. It’s time for more steering solutions and other diy’s after this!
