I may have to try those out.
They are really nice, since seeing this video a few of my friends have reached out and told me they also have used them and love them. So definitely a good buy, just get one of them buy 1 get 3 free deals
nice intro. yeah sa company makes some dope gators but never tried sleeves. I had the same issue with it being tight on my head
Thanks brother, I think I have more fun editing than anything else these days. Some say less is more but sometimes MORE IS MORE! 🤣
I was pleasantly surprised, I am definitely going to try out some more products. Have my eyes set on one of their hats already!
Had a blast meeting up with you. The current out there at certain times of the day was no joke!
@@flipmcneil551 same brother! Yeah my legs were sore for 3 days after battling that current haha Going to work on that video and get it posted this week!
Nice man I like the transition at the beginning
@@JupiterBassin thanks, I had fun making this one!
Just standing contemplating life at the end😂 of
And trying to catch my breath too! It kicked my butt, what you didn’t see was when the yak attacked and hit me in the back of the head. I went under about 3 times which is why I am so glad I had my NRS Chinook on.
I sent you an email! What did you attach your cables to?
@@mahaneydr ill reply there too but check out this playlist I have 3-4 videos on the foot controls in it including a part 1 and 2 on building three different versions. kzread.info/head/PL7snKCOsUsT2Grz9Ez-Q1KMrJSWSoZ1aF&si=8_CGaXLOTnReWK7s
@@KayachtLife You can disregard the email, I found the vids earlier! Thanks!
I’m looking at getting the new 10 foot in September for my birthday present to myself. Then I’ll spend another year upgrading it 😂 hopefully the wider bump boards will be out by then too.
@@Just_A_Name14 nice! I’m looking to add the xtr130 to the kayacht fleet. I know people are battling over whether it’s a kayak or a bass boat but if they just accept that it’s a kayacht they can all sleep soundly at night haha
@@KayachtLife everyone has their own opinions and tastes. I prefer no electronics and no motors. Mainly for cost ,but I’ve been a bank fisherman my whole life so I rely more on knowledge and skill than electronics and technology. The 10 foot seems to cover all my needs. Peddle drive, rotating seat, front facing rod holder molded in,rail mounts for when I upgrade, room behind me for my tackle bag. Built in double rod holders up front for my two piece poles. Also being 10 foot and lighter I think I can haul it on top of my at4 suv with ease. I could mount my phone onto the peddle drive for easy access for pictures and I can attach bungie cords to a lot of my stuff from there too or the seat posts. I just think it’ll be a little bit wobbly for my likings but I can deal with that being I’m a little smaller than a lot of people I see on them. I like the xtr130 also but that’ll be the route I go if I was to get a motor.
@@Just_A_Name14totally agree, options are a good thing, not sure why people hate on them. I have a fishfinder and use it mainly for gps and depth, I fish in 1-4 foot of water 90% of the time, I am mostly concerned with the depth so I know what lure and weight to use. Fishing saltwater and tidal areas it is nice having the motor in case storms roll up or the tide is to strong to pedal/paddle. These large yaks are super hard to paddle/pedal.
@@KayachtLife I can only imagine. I use topographical maps I just print them out and then laminate them and put them in a binder not always accurate but most the time I’m generally okay minus whatever’s on the bottom I don’t know about. Trees, grass etc.
Nice video, is the TitanX 10.5 to small?
@@Thegreatkayak I haven’t been on the 10.5. But from what I understand from seeing it you lose some from the front of the bow and a bit from that back. I think it depends on your need, size, where you fish, type of water conditions etc. I hear a lot of great reviews on it. Check out Greg Blanchards channel, he bass fishes a 10.5. Make sure you tell em KayachtLife sent ya, he won’t know who it is but do it anyways hahah
@@KayachtLife he has a 12.5 also I told him you sent me lol
@@Thegreatkayak he used to have a 10.5 check some of his videos from when it came out. He does a few walkthrough and video reviews. I think he got the 12.5 when visiting home in NY a couple months ago. That’s cool, he probably went what is a KayachtLife and why is he sending you to me hahah

That foot control looks just like one I just saw at icast. Hope no one stooled your idea bro because there going to make a killing
@@WhitchurchFishing1 thanks for looking out but no. I spotted it on Greg Blanchard video, and heard rumor they were doing r&d to see if it was feasible. In the meantime I needed to be able to steer my Titan x and came up with a similar prototype and then did a bunch of trial and error to improve on it some. Their final product is super nice, jury is still out on if it can stand up to salt water so I will be interested to try it out and do a review.
Good stuff bro!

I enjoyed your rigging set-up and walkthrough. Which scupper plugs do you buy for your Rod Holders to Prevent Water in Hull?

Hey brother! Awesome job I wish I was more skilled with building my own equipment. Thanks for the shout out brother.
Thanks! I appreciate all the info you provide, both fishing and KZread related. I tried to just buy some stuff but quickly realized I needed something custom. Now I have a drive to make more! The hard part is balancing fishing, building, filming, and oh yeah my day job hahah. Stay safe out there!
Thanks! I will be doing a 1+! Will post some pics! Should have it done in a few days! Again, thanks for all the work!
Awesome! I think the 1+ can be a great option for freshwater. Just remember to protect the bearings and hardware as much as possible and keep an eye out for corrosion. I finally got my setup working and figured out. The new mics I ordered work great and switching to external batteries for filming using the GoPro made a HUGE difference. Can't wait to see your pics!
Great video. Don't worry about about your word smithing, us tinkerers know exactly what you are trying to say. Awesome setup.
Thanks! I appreciate it, I’m trying to plan my videos a little better so I know what the heck I’m gonna say. Let me know how you like the final video I made on the foot controls, released yesterday!
appreciate the shout out bro! Great video. I'm definitely using this to setup my stern mount in the future. Looking forward to the gopro mount!
Of course! Gotta give props where props are due! I’ll keep ya posted on the mount for sure.
When is part 2 coming out?
I reshot it and am importing into Final Cut Pro now. Takes awhile to import and then needs to be edited. If FCP doesn’t crash and burn on me like last time, I did back up the footage this time. Then I should have it out tomorrow evening aka Monday
Dude you need to look at the road more than the camera!
Haha I was a passenger
Bring on the Levi videos!
I have another channel that I will begin uploading to and it will have a pod cam section (Levi’s nickname - short for peepod haha)
Where is the Merch Store!?!
Haha gotta have the demand to warrant one!
Close on part 2? Would really like to install this weekend.. Thanks?
Let me know what version you are trying to build the edits were lost when Final Cut Pro crashed :(
@@KayachtLife i am guessing 2 or 3…. Thanks
@@dennisputthoff4261 3 is still a work in progress and I am not 100% sure if it works yet. For 2 do you have all the parts already? Can you email me, my email is in the channel description
Wooing, and then, flexing!😊 Thanks 🙏
That’s how we do it too right haha
I have the 180pro. the plastic was a struggle. I put this system on and it's like power steering😊
Nice, did you figure it out on your own or did this video help you out? Trying to determine how helpful my videos are for others! Thanks!
Thank you very much for the Amazon gift card!
You are very welcome, enjoy!
Fresh water.
I would say with freshwater and taking care of the parts you could try any of them. But I still think it’s wise to use stainless if possible. So versions 2 or 3 with upgraded stainless parts. I fish saltwater and my parts corroded quickly, not sure how long it would take using them in freshwater.
Which version do you like best for the Titan X 125?
Fresh or saltwater?
I like the bigger bearings and the longer plate so either 2 or 3. I haven’t finished designing 3 all the way or tested it but it is very promising
Part 2?
I tagged you in a community post about it. Final Cut Pro after two hours of editing decided to lose the edits, I still have the footage and hopefully tomorrow I can get it edited and uploaded. I did film it for about two hours and then edited it for another two. Worked on it until 2am even. But it was not meant to be. Go to the community post and look for the sneak peak pic of version 2 though.
@@KayachtLife all good. Thanks for all the hard work !
@@dennisputthoff4261 yeah this stuff takes longer than I think it should, usually because of unexpected tech issue, but then also because I have a full time job, a family, and I want to fish too, hopefully I can this week! I think I have my setup finally good though, my first set of mics I had I had to send back because they were faulty. The Final Cut Pro issue last night apparently is a common thing and I might be able to recover, I just won’t have time to find out, due to prior commitments, until at least tomorrow.
Were is the community post?
Part two coming out soon? I would really like to install this weekend.
If I got the Nk180 pro or the 300 on the back I would 100% do a set up like yours so the pedal able to retract. The stock one looks cheap. I think with sand and salt it would be such a pain. Looking forward to part 2.
Love catching the trout so much fun when they school up. That was a good one. what do you usually use? My favorite bait for reds and trout is a poppin cork and a voodu shrimp.
I usually go with a natural power prawn jr with a weedless hoss helix hook from Salt Strong. They can’t resist!
Finally! Ive been waiting for weeks thank you.
Thanks
On my Bonafide rvr119 I use the SS127 foot control steering adapters and it works with the NK180, but there’s a lot of torque on the pedals at high speed in river current to fight my way upstream. I’m definitely interested in checking yours out when I upgrade to the NK300 if you’re going to sell them. I think my current set up will fail with the 300.
If I decide not to sell I am still willing to help people out and can work with those on an individual level, but if the demand is there I will set up a shop for them and some other diy items I’ve come up with and have planned! Thanks for the feedback, you confirmed my suspicions :)
Honestly the Bonafide rail is not all that great. The piece that slides inside the rail is plastic and does not slide very smoothly. It’s a big reason I’m watching this video. I’m looking for a solution that may work better on my SS127.
Same!
I figured that might be the case, a little disappointed in hearing it, I was hoping it would be another great option!
I'm designing and making Teflon "Slider Caps" for the rail-type steering system I now have on the Titan-X 12.5 (the "Stock" foot steering is WAY too flimsy and drags too much, even with a little NK180...!). If it works the way I picture it, it may be the easiest and cheapest way to go. (I'm also designing a longer-armed "Steering Triangle" for my NK300, as that has Beastly Torque!). Lol I might let everyone know how it goes, especially Greg...!
@@MSmith-jf5wo nice, keep me posted. I ended up with the innovative sportsman steering triangle. Good call on a wider steering triangle would make turning it easier. Let me know how it goes, I might try my hand at it too.
