Definitely interested in a DIY winch solution.

Not sure how involved you want to get on mounting foot control, you could mount plate solid to your mirage plug. Let the plate extend over to side your wanting and then attach bracket and control to plate. Great to see you putting out videos again. Keep up the great work and see ya'll soon 👍.

Hey TJ, have you thought of adding some foam in the center of the triangle foot mount, just incase it was too somehow get knocked overboard? Just a thought. Also thanks for blessing us with these videos man. I'm a dad with 5 adopted girls who's faithfully saving for the Old Town Sportsman 120 PDL. I'll get there one day. For now I fish out of a Perception Outlaw. Definitely not the fastest yak out on the water but it's stable. Anyway thanks again & God bless brother!

Did you add clamp-on ferrites at the front motor on the power leads? And/or also at the fish finder power leads? Standard amateur radio RF noise fix. The bulge on your laptop power cable is a string of ferrite cores.

Love the video! Are your power wires separated? You could also shield your wires with mesh wire braid. I was a former avionics tech and thats how we kept cross talk down.

I just started kayak fishing last year. I don't have a trailer but I'm going to get some ramps and try to unload and load from my truck bed with a winch. Right now I just have a crank winch. If it works, I may go to an electric winch. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

change out springs to traxxas trx4 stock springs. its an rc crawler. have to open ends a little. Use your wheel chock mounted to a pvc board on its end, bolted to the cassette. perfect angle. I used same chock.

I have a newer Xi3 MotorGuide so my controller is a little different but I fish river timber like you do docks here on the Coosa.. I was just wondering if both foot and hand control worked at the same time?
